I did it was at about 12:20am! I was almost asleep once it happened so I actually felt it this time. Last time I slept right through it! At first I thought I was tripping out or just tired but then my wife asked me if I just felt that earthquake.

I felt it. I was kinda surprised, and then I went to the forums and NOBODY was on (and there's almost always somebody online at that time) so I started to get worried. Yeah, I'm not used to earthquakes. They always freak me out.

That's like the third earthquake we've had in in a week. You can track or record earthquakes you've felt at the USGS Earthquake site. Since we live so far up on reclaimed land, we feel most every earthquake here. I'm glad we're not in the Indonesia area, which had a 7.5 earthquake a couple hours after our little 5.3 one.

And at least the second one that's actually made the news this week. Kinda has me a little worried.

Glad I am not going crazy. Having an earthquake in the night like that always gets to me more. It just makes me wonder if there is more to come, do I need to wake my kids?
It puts me on edge as well wondering if there is a bigger one coming soon. |

I also grew up in Southern California, so the little earthquakes were never a big deal to me. I was awoken during the Northridge quake, but lived in the OC so didn't feel the brunt of it. I'm sure I'd feel differently if a quake caused me some catastrophic grief or damage though.
