So I haven't had any raw oysters for a long time since I left the states. I love to eat raw oysters!! I usually go eat raw oysters with my friends at hooters...we order like 2 or so dozen and just eat them and have like a pitcher of beer with them. Anyone know of a restaurant or place I can get some raw oysters? Ughhh...it tastes soo good!! Let me know if you do. Thanks.

Hmm, this sounds like something I might also want to try. I never developed a liking for oysters, but sounds like it'd go good with beer.
My sister used to just eat them right off the rocks when we were kids. My brother would bust open their shells and my sister would eat them on the spot. Hopefully someone knows of a good restaurant. I don't feel like eating anything right off a rock. |

I like the oysters with the marinara sauce and lots of lemon squeezed on. I didn't think I'd like eating it when I first saw it...then of course after a few of them made for me with the sauce and lemon squeezed on top of it...it was soo good. So everytime I'd eat it when I'd go to hooter's. And the fact of it making me horny...hahah...lol. jk.

Usually, if I don't like something or think I'll like something I need it prepared really well for me. Even if I've had bad experiences in the past with it, if it's done PERFECTLY even once, it tends to stick with me. I was that way with fish, escargot, lobster, and crab (I can't believe I didn't like these before) and I'm hoping that if I ever get a chance to have awesome oysters it'll be the same.
And lol @ horny. hahahaha. We should have a big JU forums oyster party. I can see that getting out of hand. ![]() |

I have been to so many restaurants here, I have been trying to think where they serve raw oysters..
There is a restaurant in Ginowan (I think) its called Steak and Seafood. I thought the barrel restaurant did, hmm but thats what I get for going home last month. I can't remember if Chinuman does. But I do know that Sam's by the Sea has raw oysters for 850 yen! It includes 2 dipping sauces and lemon wedges. I will go thru my 160 menus I have on the Japanese restaurants here and let you know! The Viking yakiniku use to have them, but I haven't been there for awhile to see if they have them. Boheme Yakiniku (?) last time I was there they had them My husband usually buys them at San A or Jusco @ 50% off or fisherman's warf. |
