I don't care if the specific people presented in this report were self-idenfified as conservative or not, but the hype/outrage generated by this insignificant material would only matter to the far right.

I'm making the argument that it's possible you are putting unearned burden on conservatives when it's possible they don't agree with the far right complaining on the subject or may not even be the ones complaining.

As you make mention of, FOX is the channel for people on the Right. But I haven't seen anything mentioning the program in the OP on Fox News show or on their website. Yes ABC is a liberal channel. Most any network or cable news not FOX is. But I haven't seen anything yet to support the claim that the ones doing the bitching are conservatives. They may be conservative on this issue (which is just retarded because it's an important issue), but having a conservative position and being conservative are not the same thing.

But like I said, I agree that it is likely the group is of a conservative nature. With ABC being a liberal owned company it would not make any sense for a liberal group to complain about their content. It's like a dog chewing off it's own leg out of boredom. It's something to do, but in the end it only slows you down.
