R.I.P. Nick

Nick owned and ran Nick's bar on Araha beach in Hamby. He died suddenly this past weekend at the age of 37 from a bleeding liver. He will be missed by many who came through the area. I for one often thought of visiting his bar as an old crusty ****, 20 yrs from now and BS-ing with him. I now wish I had gone more often recently but I hadn't. His newlywed wife is in my thoughts and prayers as well as his family in India.

Nick's bar was very popular due to his friendly, inviting attitude. Hanging at his bar felt like hanging at home with family. Helping yourself to drinks behind the bar was very common. He had a kind heart and a good sense of humor.

He always asked me to write up good reviews for his bar on JU and I have a couple times in the past. He liked to read the forums occasionally too. I'm still a little shocked about it all as are many people.

Nick, you are missed and never forgotten. Rest in peace!

Damn that sucks. I knew him for years and frequented his joint quite a bit. I went to a big party at his apartment one time.

I miss that place and was planning to stop by as I haven't been in a long time.

What the hell... 37 years old?! That's just sad.

I never knew him nor went to his bar, but it's still sad that someone so young and newly wed died of organ trouble.
