Thu, 12 Nov 2009 02:02:22 GMTI was talking to one of my current mentors and he was telling me how he became a Christian in his early 20's after being in church all his life, catholic school and baptist church.
So when he was a young guy in the AF in North Dakota, early in the morning Jimmy Swagart would come on and he would watch a bit. He would cry during the messages and say, "I need Jesus, etc etc." But he never made a committment.
So one week, all of a sudden he just kept seeing Jesus everywhere. Bumper stickers, tshirts, billboards, everything was talking right to him. He still didn't listen, but was tossing and turning everynight.
Then one day he was out doing something for work and two old ladies walked past talking about church, and after they walked past him, one turned around and said, "Son do you know Jesus."
He said, " I went to church all my life,": but she said "No I said do you know Jesus." Then he said, Well i am getting to know him."
So the old lady said I am going to pray for you that you get to know Jesus today.
But he did not want to hear that so he, stormed off angry at the two old ladies, and said I gotta get back to work.
That night he could not sleep, so he decided to get on the side of the bed and pray. But when he decided to get up from prayer he could not move. HE COULDN'T get up.
So he told his wife, Hey I can't move I don't know what is wrong. Finally he told his wife to call his Mom, because that was the only REAL Christian he ever knew.
So his wife called his mom. and he told his mom what was going on and she laughed at him. He said, Mom why are you laughing.
She said God has arrested you and you are not going anywhere until you get it right today.
So, after that he said that prayer of faith and asked Jesus into his heart and he could move again, as a new man in Christ.
Awesome Conversion.

October has proven to be one of Scientology’s worst months in history. Between being found guilty of fraud in France, celebrity Paul Haggis telling them “see yah!,” the ABC Nightline series with Tommy Davis walking out on the interview, the two new books coming out by ex members “Blown For Good” by Marc Headley and “My Billion Year Contract” by Nancy Many, the many new pending lawsuits, their orgs closing left and right, and with many members leaving….. it’s safe to say, it’s not too cool to be a Scientologist right now.

The St. Petersburg Times continues to be a huge thorn in Scientology’s side. Their Sunday edition reported horrific stories told by former Scientology members who have left the cult. Or should I say when they TRIED to leave the cult. It is part one of another three part series that they are continuing to run in addition to their Truth Rundown Series that they ran back in June.

Do your parents...What religion (if any) do your parents practice/believe in? Is it the same for you? Were you raised to believe what you believe now? Do your parents know and/or approve of your beliefs? Do you care?
My parents are both devout Christians. However, they are pretty cool and somewhat lenient in some ways. They also don't push Christianity on others. At the same time though, if I told them my thoughts as an independent adult, that I don't believe in any religion, that I believe there's a God who created everything but that all religions got it wrong (or right, however you want to look at it), they'd probably go to an early grave. That or harass me, until I told them I changed my mind, just to appease them. My Mom would spend sleepless nights praying for my "lost soul".
I'm not going to tell them. But I think it's very interesting. I'd almost like to debate it with them. Sometimes I throw little hints at them. I'll say things like "Jesus and Mohammed have the same God", almost got into a heated debate on accident when I mentioned the Ice Age to my Dad without even thinking about it. I just don't get it, and I changed the subject quick..
Next..??

On the heels of Scientology’s spokesman Tommy Davis’s disastrous interview on ABC’s Nightline last week, comes more news of Scientology’s downward spiral.
It has just been announced, that France has convicted Scientology of fraud. This news must have Scientology’s cult leader David Miscavige in quite the tizzy. Still nothing to say Miscavige?
David Miscavige is obvioulsy playing a “Where’s Waldo?” in all this breaking news.
