View Full Version : Met the Governor of Okinawa the other day.

A couple other people and the Governor came to D.C. last Saturday to have talks about the bases with the D.O.D.

I attended the luncheon at Maggianos and ate some really good pasta and mushrooms.

I wish I could have asked him a couple questions but this was supposed to be a non political meeting. They're supposed to be coming back in the summer. I'll try to get a few questions in next time. I wonder what I would ask him... :scratchchin:

LMAO! What does the Governor and the DOD have to do with the bases? I thought it was the GOJ and the US Fed (Sec State etc) who made the decisions.

Let's see how the news gets bandied about when the Gov returns. I can see the headlines now: (are you listening Mr. JBot?)

"Okinawa Governor demands return of Okinawa bases to Obama Cabinent."

I think he ate the mushrooms first, then the rest kinda played out in technicolor.

Hahaha. Nah no awamori but I did dance kachashi and busted some dance moves at the end of the party.

I'm part of the local Okinawan Organization. Thats why I attended. I think next time I'll show him my moving rubber band magic trick. :thumbup1:
