A little outdated by now, of course. Story was added two hours ago or so and the RSS just now picked it up. Appologies for the late information.

It was probably a Knock off Chinese Bowing 737 :D the seats were probably painted with lead paint and the seat fabric was explosive. haha sorry Iwas reading MSN this morning about Mattel and all these worries of lead and China.

I just really hope nobody died. I read somewhere that 2 people were unaccounted for, but I've read elsewhere that there were no deaths... I'm just so glad this didn't happen in the air. I don't know how Okinawa would cope with something this big if an airliner went down right near us.

It just goes to show that anything can happen and well it was China Airlines, are the Okinawans going to protest Naha airport? China? Probably not.......

No. That'd make too much sense. Only helicopters and military jets kill people when they burst into flames or crash into buildings.

Perhaps they would if a Naha baggage truck train made a u-turn at a school.

She'll be fine, as long she doesn't fly China Airlines. My mother tries not to fly them when possible. She had an incident during a flight involving a drunk passenger who passed out at her feet. The flight attendants had no idea what to do with him. Another time, our friends (who happened to be corpsmen) had to perform CPR on a man during a CAL flight, because there was no defibrilator onboard. They had an outdated first-aid kit. Sigh... Hopefully, there was only property damage in this incident.

I have been waiting for the Ginowan and other mayors to start demanding that B737's all be grounded and now allowed to use Okinawa airports.
then I remembered it's not a military plane so it's okay if it burns at Naha. wonder if it would have been okay if it had burned at Kadena??

Not sure where you are getting the info from. Everything here in Okinawa and from cnn.com yahoo.com etc.. are all reporting all passengers and crew accounted for and safe.

So where are the police? Don't they always demand to be included in all accident investigations? Who are they going to charge with this "crime"? Interesting to see don't you think?

That would never happen, the people on board didnt have ID cards to enter kadena :w00t: but if that had been been a military associated ac Jatai or US there would have been hell to pay
