Slow XBox Live

Is it me or is XBox live extremely slow through both mettiatti and konnect? I havent been able to play any games with my gold account due to lag. I can browse the marketplace but to download a demo is a week long process.

My computer can download at rather fast speeds. I also called up the ISP and asked them in they were filtering ports - they denied doing so.

I had the cable internet at first and noticed that live sucked on it I decided to switch to the ADSL, Konnect service option and it still sucked, maybe even worse. Have you guys tried to connect to live on base?

What has worked for you and what hasnt?

Also what is up with not being able to purchase xbox live arcade points here on base?

I know with Mediatti, the connection sucks. I got disconnected twice trying to play a game in NCAA 08...pissed me off. I have no prob with the internet though.

I ve heard nothing but complaints from mettiatti and konnect customers, I guess base is only allowed a certain amount of bandwith and they didnt expect the customer base they presently have.

XBL point cards from the US will not work here in Japan, they are restricted becuase of a new policy Xbox instituted back in may to stop people from D/L movies and games not available in thier region. I suggest getting a Japanese account and use the point card from out in town, but xbl Japan has very poor content and no movies, I get them for the Arcade game and maps

I haven't played anything on xbox live since forever. I pre ordered halo 3 so I'm going to be on playing that a lot if anyone wants some.

I just bought a microsoft points card today from the PX. They had a sale or something at the BX today so their all sold out there.

does it work for the US movie downloads? They blocked me previewing movies,only thing that works is arcade game downloads

I' haven't tried to download a movie yet. I tried to download a trial of bioshock but it blocked me. They had bioshock at the bx once it first came out, but I haven't seen it since then.

Yeah I live out in sunabe and I have fiber, it's awesome.

Both Mediatti and Konnect are both extremely slow internet service providers. I personally have used both Konnect and Mediatti. Konnect is faster than mediatti but that doesn't mean it's fast. I have complained both directly to Konnect about the slow service, but have seen no results. The only thing I ask is to fill out an ICE complaint. I have several of my friends doing this as well hopefully we can get something done about it.

Would be the simple thing to do, but with only a year left I don't think it would be worth it...no matter how bad I want it now, hehe. I don't think the wife would agree to move all of our belongings just so I can get high speed gaming internet :P hehe
