Yeah, definitely OKinawa, cause it is home, but I'm a city boy as well as a country boy so I've visited places like Tokyo, Seoul, NYC, Chicago and LA and I could imagine calling them home for a while, but I'd always return to good old Okinawa.

I suppose it depends on one's definition of exotic. The "felt like home" part is the tough part of the question. I'd have to say KOWLOON, HONG KONG. I think Bangkok was exotic, but it didn't seem like home. Even though Vietnam is exotic, and I have family there, it didn't feel as homey either. Hong Kong has all the amenities of home and friendly people for the most part.

Belize.. Belize city is beautiful. I have a friend that owns 300 acres there and I can visit anytime I want. He's in the process of building a house there. I love that place... Guatemala is a really cool place too. Tikal Gutemala was beautiful and people were friendly.

Fallujah. Reminded me just like NYC (home for me) in the summer. Hot, smells like trash and there were people shooting at you.

My buddy called me last week and he just got back from there working on his land. Can't wait to go visit again. He DRIVES back and forth from Texas to Belize in a F-550 and hauls his equipment and stuff down there to finish building his house.

Shannon Ireland...rotten rainy weather, with some of the greenest scenery, and friendliest people I've ever met. Next would probably be Greece...so many "familiar places", even if the people don't "seem" overly friendly. OVERALL? Hawaii...now a part of the U.S.A., but it's called "the Hawai'ian Mode", and I first thought people were setting me up to take advantage of me later. Couldn't be farther from the truth. Just over-all, super-nice, outgoing and friendly to the stranger type people. Given the time, and more battery juice, and I could throw in a dozen MORE places. People tend to WANT to be good to their "neighbours"!!!

Isn't Guatemala kinda VIOLENT these days??
Probably no worse than it's always been. I was scared to drive there the first time I went because I heard a lot of bad things about it but once we got there it was a different story. The only place we didn't go to because of violence was the Honduras. We actually turned around at the border as a suggestion by the border agents. We were trying to go to Colombia but the border agents and a Rice Farmer we stayed with for a couple of days said it was a terrible time for Americans to be going through there. Some Americans were shot or kidnapped a few days prior. I haven't been there in 9 yrs but my buddy drives through Mexico, Guatemala and Belize every few months. I'm saving up so I can go in the summer of 2010.

Dude are you serious, this island is nothing like Hawaii. OMG, I would love to be on the Big island right now. There is no Aloha here.

Sorry Ryu, I didn't mean to steal your name. Actually I don't even like dragon's particularly. I just shortened my old (what I thought was a clever play on words, but too damn long) name - Ryukyuchina. I'm considering changing it again to something like WTF or Mental or something. We'll see....

Haha, I'm just messing around, no worries. I don't have a particular interest in dragons but dragons represent strength and wisdom so... Its a pretty sweet name doncha think???
