Xbox 360 HDMI

Just wondering if anyone heard any news about a HDMI cable being released for the xbox 360? I already know the elite version of the 360 has a HDMI cable out but the original white version doesn't. I was wondering if they were making an HDMI cable that came out of the normal AV port for the original 360?

im not sure if they are making one or not, but...I read that the one that is coming with the elite version is a waste..the quality difference is negligible. Of course, I dont have first hand knowledge, just what i read.

I notice a small differance on my dvds it depends on if it's 1080i or 1080p. I use the componant out and I'm happy with that but just kinda curious.

From alot of searchinig and reading boards...apparently for gaming, there is virtually no difference because the 360 upconverts all games to 1080i. For movies however, with component cables, best you can get is 480p, with HDMI cable, you can get max resolution...I guess that is the difference. Who knows, IMO, I dont care, shit looks good on my TV, so Im happy:)

My 360 looks awesome already on my plasma so I'm not too worried. I also got a dvd with surround that has an hdmi out so I'm happy with my setup!

If the cable is cheap enough, ill try it since the 360 is my dvd player. Chances are it will be over $100 though...

yeah but if you wait long enough you might be able to get a generic brand cable for cheaper.

I just can't wait to get my fiber so I can play online again!

They are starting to roll standard (non 1337) 360s out of the factory with both composite (RGB) and HDMI on the back of them - it makes me wish I had waited to get my 360. Also getting on island and seeing the "military appreciation" pack made me cry a little.
