Hello All,
I may have a civilian job opportunity in Yokota AB and have been researching the area. I was wondering if you have opinions or experiences that you could share, to give me a better idea of possibly living there.

For background reference I'm 35, single, Asian American, dude looking for some food/culture/drunk escpades experiences. Also want to get better at speaking Japanese.

Any input would be appreciated......I'll give you some candy.

I think Yokota is near Tokyo right?

Endless possibilities, great food, nightlife, women, etc....

I'll pass on the candy - scary............lol.

Oki alumni should chime in soon, as he lives in the Yokota AB area.

Me, I've only been to the Yokota area twice for short visits.. However, I've been to other areas in the Tokyo vicinity many times.. If you like Japan, and the job is good, I say go for it...

The base is modern and clean, it's a friendly community, and it's not too far from train stations that can transport you all over the city/country.

I know that the local city hall off-base provides Japanese tutoring on weeknights, in addition to the college and community center courses.
