View Full Version : Japanese text in firefox, mojibake

My browser can read most Japanese, and if it can't I just switch encoding and it usually works. But this page only half works. Is there another encoding I need? Is it perhaps a problem with the flash player that's running the chatbox? I have the most recent flash player, I'm using firefox and windows xp. This page is in Shift_JIS encoding. Any ideas?

i've got 2 HD's, 1 with Japanese XP, 1 with US XP and the US XP usually can't read the Japanese flash but i get more jibberish than you have there. My laptop on the other hand with US Vista, switched to Japanese language can read the flash. So i think if you upgrade to Vista it might work but i'd test it 1st before you buy.
