Looks like the party Hard Edge is at Hinotama Hall tonight. Awesome party. http://www.hinotamahall.com/event_schedule/index.jsp

Aside from that, a few other music events taking place around the island. http://www.japanevents.jp/?p=search. But my japanevents doesn't have good directions to most of these yet, so you may have to actually figure out how to get there.

this kinda has to do with events.. there was a Japanese DJ that used to play at the Pyramid a lot. his name was Naogee. Anyone know him? Know of him? Know if he still spins? I would like to find an event where he is spinning. I really like/liked his sound

Yeah, Naogee was always one of my favorites. Him and Fumio from Infinity. I haven't heard if he's still playing a lot, nor have I seen him around lately. I'll let you know if I hear anything.

AWESOME! Thanks dk

I still have one of his mix cd's :) I really like it. Naogee even said he was gunna chill with me and teach me how to spin.. Never happened.. life was too busy, but I did chill with him on occasion and he got me into Pyramid numerous times without paying :) FREE DRINKS FTW!

Yeah, I've still got a few of his mix cd's too. And don't feel bad, I still haven't learned to spin yet either... it's that whole lack of time AND living in an apartment with paper walls. I can't even plug in my electric guitar...

And thanks for my first thanks. :D

Hinotama Hall is in Shintoshin right near the big Naha Main Place shopping center. If you catch a cab, they'll know exactly where hinotama hall is.

Here's a map: http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&hl=na&q=%E7%81%AB%E3%81%AE%E7%8E%89%E3%83%9B%E3%83%BC%E3 %83%AB&ll=26.227671,127.696669&spn=0.001225,0.002688&z=19&om=1

It's very very close to main place. I guess once you're there, you'll want to ask directions to a place called Uno or look around for a place called Uno. Uno is on the second floor. It's an izakaya I think. Hinotama Hall is up the staircase on the third floor.

I might take you up on that offer sometime, but man, I swear I'm never going to actually learn how to do it until I find some space where I can put my own tables. Once I put the money down and have the room where I can do it in peace, it should come quick.

where would i turn off of 58 when i get to naha? im not to familiar with naha...

Ok, after the bridge on 58 in Urasoe, you'll see Lawson on your left. Keep going straight. You'll soon see a big pachinko place on the left. Not sure if it has english on the building, but the JP google maps labels it "Bay City Meiho". Turn left at the light. Keep going straight a while until you see Main Place on your left. It's a huge building. Right before main place, turn left. At the third right, turn right. These are small roads. You may have to u-turn.

I don't even know if parking is available, or where you'll find it. I always take a taxi, so I'm never concerned with it. But that'll at least get you to the area. Hopefully it won't take you all night to find it.

Here's an alternate route my wife wants me to tell you. Might be a little better if you are more adventurous.

After the Urasoe bridge on 58, turn left at the lawson. Keep going straight until you reach a major intersection. There should be a big park on your right. Turn right at the intersection and turn left at the third road. That'll put you right at hinotama hall.

The second way is the easiest way once you know the area. The first route will show you how to get there from 58 but is a little less direct. Hopefully you can find the place. I'm not the best with directions.

Nah, if I go to Hinotama Hall on a weekday, I won't be making it to work the next day. Thanks though. Say hi to Kiichi if you meet him. He's the owner. Probably the loudest guy in there hehehe. In a good way.

Hard Edge was always packed back when I was able to go out more often, so I imagine you'll have a good crowd. Hope you had fun at the party. Let us know how it went. :D

I know "Hinotama" is pretty popular but I liked it better when it was downstairs next to the Kumoji river.

Sorry getting nostalgic here.......

Well shoot me a PM if it's a Friday. Maybe I'll be able to get myself out of the house if I give my wife some advanced notice. :p
