where can I find coconut oil or jojoba oil?

anyone know? I can order it from the USA but obviously it would be easier if I could find it here. Not for cooking, but for my hair :P

I would bet you could find it there....somewhere.
More than likely in a cooking section....however, it is the same product for skin/hair/cooking.

I order my coconut oil off the net, I would worry about it melting in shipment, there though.

Maybe you'll get lucky and find one with a pic of a coconut one it???? The jar I get does.

Hey - mixed with some essential oil & garlic it also makes a good lotion for skin fungus that is rampant there too

I know where you could TRY, There is a 'Body Shop' in Haebaru Jusco or the
other Jusco south of Naha before you get to the airport.
I have not been for years but am sure they would have what you are looking, may be a little pricey.

Have you tried coconut milk, the one's in the can in the oriental area at the commissary?

Coconut Milk Soak

Apply as much coconut milk (canned and not lite) to your dry hair as your hair will absorb. Make sure to work it in really well. Top it with a shower cap (or plastic bag) and a turban or towel. Apply heat for as long as you can manage (heat cap, hot towel, blow fryer, forced air heating vent - LOL). Shampoo out with a gentle shampoo and then you can follow up with your regular conditioner or detangler. Style as usual. Its better to use with cold or warm water, cuz of the humid here!

BTW, if you're going to do this, please remember to SHAKE the can before you open it. LOL The stuff separates. Otherwise, you can just whisk it back together, but it's easier to just shake the can really well.

**Put it on dry hair- if you have long hair buy more just in case, and the rest of the milk you can put in the bath. Leave on for 30 minutes to an hour and wooooooooooooooooow... its a great moisturizing conditioner! Also its a good moisturizer for the bath! You need to shampoo quite a bit to get it all out though! It only cost about 69 - 99 cents a can at the commissary.**
