I found a drunken man. (He is black guy)at Lawson (near Camp Foster)
I worry about hem.
He up stairs of the pedestrian bridge. However, he fell down. :scared:
other guy(maybe Japanese) and I supported him.
He can down the stairs safely.
(but we seemed to fall down stairs many times)
The drunken man is lucky.
some guy (mabe American )picked up him at Lawson's parking .
Probably the drunken man would return to the house safely.
When we found a American (drunken man), where should we contact? Japanese police? In the on base police?
I don't know the phone number of the police(on bese)

your best bet would be to call a japanese police officer. That way at least there is someone there who could get in contact with the base to find someone to pick him up.
I say this because of something that happened to an air force MSgt a few years back. He was out walking late night and it was raining, and he wasn't drunk. Well he started to have a heart attack so he sat down up against a wall and pulled out his cell phone to try and call for help. Well he didn't have the strength to make the call so he sat there hunched over with his cell phone in his hand. No body bothered to stop and see if he was ok because the way he was sitting there it looked like he was just playing with his phone getting ready to make a call or something. Well obviously he ended up dying, a japanese lady asked if he was ok and found out he was dead.

Most if not all military members SHOULD have some sort of card on them that gives them essentially a free ride back to base. Unfortunately, alot of ppl dont carry it with them because they dont feel they would ever need it. You could try and ask them if they have any contact information for someone at their command, or which base they are on.
Doing SOMETHING is far better then not stopping or caring at all, try and contact someone they know first, to minimize the potential for the person to get in trouble.

I think if you were seriouly wasted and not causing any trouble and a jp found you, he would take you back to the nearest base. I doubt he would let you just lay there in the street. They are always checking on people who are passed out in the street just to make sure they are ok.
Hehe, my wife fell asleep on gate 2 street once and the jp kept telling her she had to go home and couldn't sleep there. LOL it's a shame once your wife can out drink you!

Not sure if they even have them here, but I know the hospital used to have them, and we had them at my last command in San Diego. It is called an Arrive Alive card. Basically it is a card that you give to a taxi, and usually (for the Navy), the chiefs mess foots the bill, and the member that used the card has to pay them back.
I have no idea if other services have them, guess i was just assuming they did.
