411 on SOFA

So I've been hearing about this SOFA status... specifically that you need it to work. But I haven't heard or read anything about it in the things we have to do before we move (we're still in the states). So... what's the deal? Is it something I have to apply for, do I get it automatically as a military spouse?

IF you're on your spouse's orders, it's automatically "granted" to you. If you're NOT on his/her orders, you need to get THAT done.

My sofa status is it needs to have the pillows re-fluffed.

FYI-feather down pillows are comfy but they get messed up and look sloppy really easy.
