FYI, the official city name is Tomigusuku not Tomishiro, when it was a village it was called Tomishiro but when it changed to a city the name changed to the Okinawan pronunciation and spelling Tomigusuku, even though the kanji is the same.
Tomiton has a Golf5 store and a Sports Depot anchoring the shopping facility. Oh there is also a Blue Seal Ice Cream store there are well. It is located across, kitty korner, from Ashibina the outlet mall.

Outlet malls booming and always in fashion
Outlet shopping malls are gaining popularity among customers, prompting operators to open four facilities this year to date and many of them to increase floor space.
It is said that outlet shopping malls are enjoying a second boom, following one eight years ago.

Business seemed normal last time I was there. In the outlet mall across the street they had a food court with 3 or 4 different soba places in it.

Still hate going there, personally. Just downright boring, and way too long of a drive. But the wife was there yesterday and she ran into one of my local friends, so apparently it's not a ghost town. They do have a Diesel shop, which is cool. Unfortunately, last time I was there, they were only selling female crap. Needs more guy stores. Everytime I go there, I just keep thinking that the place needs more shops for guys (who don't camp).

Wonder if the new beach down there (still not finished after three years...) will help business? I think a hotel is planned for the area. Looks like it'll basically try to be Mihama-south.

Outlet malls, to me are Phai's House of Jade. Someone much smarter than we are, has figured out a way to make us buy things that we would not normally buy in the retail channel. The fact that the products sold, still suck, doesn't register with the average consumer. It's the "reduced price" thing.
Sort of "As seen on TV".
