:barf:Here's an ongoing argument we have a lot at work.

Crocs...are they good or bad?

What about man crocs?

I wouldn't wear crocs, but I think on little kids, it's ok. I've seen some people make it look cute, but I don't know. I just don't think I could bring myself to wear them.

Thoughts?

Oh, and what's up with the kids that got hurt on escalators because of crocs? They said that the ridges on the bottoms get caught in the teeth on the escalators and they fall. What the heck?!? Where are the parents?! I always hold my kid's hand on the escalator no matter what.

And that settles that.

I do agree for guys, but some cute chicks can pull them off. Other than that I guess they're good for the elderly.....

Crocs on anyone older than 12 is bad.... very bad. I saw a grown woman in the OB clinic with white Crocs on and she had all those buttons and sh*t on them... I almost took a pic just to post it on here. I then remembered about karma and my mean streak passed.

my husband and I use them at home when we clean the dog shit out of the yard. That way if we step in dog crap, we don't care, and we can leave them outside and not give a rats a$$ or spray them off. When we first saw them, thats what we thought they would only be good for. We sure as hell wouldn't wear them to leave the yard though.

I don't think they are even good for anyone under 12. I took a friend into the ER the other day and there was a little girl who had come in needing stitches for a big gash on her head. Her father had just brought her in directly from the preschool. It was no surprise to me when I saw the Crocs on her feet. Did the Crocs cause her to fall and get that injury? Not neccesarliy. I don't know all what happened. I do know that Crocs are not proper footwear for running and climbing on the playground. Are they a safe choice for an active three year old still mastering coordination? I say no.

I am in total agreement. The ONLY place they could possibly be appropriate is in the garden. Crocs are NOT fashion - if you must avoid tying shoes - put on flip flops or sandals for god sakes. I personally cant stand these shoes and wouldn't be caught dead in them. I think they look awful - man, woman, or child.

Now wearing crocodiles as MUKU suggests - THAT would be cool!

Umm, where is the "vote" part of this JU poll? :D

If there was a poll:

a. Yes, they are great I'd were them any place.
b. Only for beach wear and are the same as flip flops.
c. Half and half, beach yes, store, no.
d. Never, they should be taken off that market.

I'd vote d.

My kids have gotten blisters, stubbed toes, and more form them, I'd heard, not seen, but the cheap "knock off" ones made some kids feet infected or something like that.

Peace!:army:

Not my thing. Only for household chores where no one will see you in them.

I stocked at Wal-mart on the night shift back in Indy...I wore crocs cause they told me I couldn't wear flip flops. >.< Only 'close-toed' shoes. From personal experience, crocs never saved my feet from falling boxes or myself from tripping, but my tosies sure could wiggle. :D I HATE not being able to wiggle my toes. It's worth looking goofy.

I'm stressing that I only wore them on the night shift when only weird people come in anyway. Holy crap some of the people who come into wal-mart at night...*shudder*

Caught me ; ;

I'd also like to add that men look extremely goofy in flip flops. At least equal to the goofyness of a man wearing tight pants or a pink button up with the collar popped.

They make good cheese, but I hear its considerably colder in Wisconsin, thus people are probably less likely to wear flip flops year-round.

I think they are on the same level as Birkenstocks.....rather homosexual. But I have seen a lot of Marines wear them because of our foot wear regulatins.

How can shoes be homosexual?

Maybe if a left shoe and a left shoe were attracted to each other more than to a right shoe?

No from Indiana, I wore flip flops all year around, even in snow :P

I guess flip flops are kind of unmanly to me. Don't ask, I'm weird. XD

I wear crocs at my part time job, once in awhile ( I work at an English school) because my boss doesn't want me to wear open toe slippers, besides they were free.

ahh CROCS- These are shoes specifically designed for working in a GARDEN. They don't get dirt stuck to them from flower beds and don't get wet and ruin like tennis shoes.

THEY SHOULD STAY THERE. I have to say unfortunatley I was given a pair by my parents against my will. I do however weat them when doing things like washing the floor in my house when I don't want to slip and break my neck but THEY ARE NEVER WORN IN PUBLIC EVER.

EWWWW. . . keep them where they belong. . in the garden or on the store shelf!! lol

Allright. I think all of you that talk about fashion are gay. Shoes are shoes. Who cares. Like in the movie "Shawshank Redemption" how often do you look at another man's shoes? I got the knock off brand of the crocs made by Airwalk (that used to be a big name couple years ago). I wear them almost every where. Honestly, I don't put on shoes wondering, "oh is the trend to wear flip flops or only white addidas shoes." IMO if you think this way then you are gay. If your kid has problems falling wearing crocs get different shoes-- that's bad parenting. If so many people complain about them, that means they've had em and are wearing them. There are newer styles where the entire "shoe" is enclosed. I think they are comfortable as hell and I don't care what anyone else thinks about the style of them. Now if they were flaming hot pink and with stickers yeah totally gay. Mine are black, and with pants you really can't tell that they are crocs. In fact, I've seen a lot of hospital staff wear them. There response, "I'm on my feet all day. I want something that is comfortable. Do I care if someone says those aren't the style? Hell no! It's my feet not theres." Possibly only bad thing about em is I do notice some callaces on the bottom of my feet, but they are minor and my feet are comfortable. The crocs provide comfort for your feet. Uncomfortable shoes can lead to knee pain, which leads to back pain, and even neck pain. Shoes are relatively important. In a professional setting, perhaps you have to wear dress shoes and that's where gel inserts are pretty good. So, if there are no other medical issues other than discussed or any other reason other than someone's fashion taste, which by the way if your a man and you say those two words together in a sentence you are most likely gay unless your talking about those two words being gay.

Discussing crocs is far from a metrosexual discussion of fashion trends. Those "shoes" are just godawful, and the creator should be banished to the outer reaches of the galaxy without life support systems.
