Tempestuous

So we currently are utilizing a company vehicle that is a piece of CRAP!!! It's a Dodge and from everything "professionals" have told me we are fortunate the thing even runs at this point.
It is in at least once every 6mths for MAJOR repairs, often more frequently than this. The guy at the shop knows us by first name, it's ridiculous.
Anyways- our regular guy went on vacation the day after I dropped it off. It was having a radiator issue that luckily this "blonde chic" (more on this statement later) was attentive to the car, because no visible indicators or warning lights were coming on. The temp gage wasn't even reading there was an issue. When I dropped it off there were still no gages reading there was an issue and no check engine indicators on.
Today I get a phone call from another dude who runs off a list of 8 or more things that need or should be repaired. I start getting the feeling he is trying to rip us off. Asides from what was wrong with what we brought it in for, there was a check engine light on.....hey, wait a sec, it wasn't on when I dropped it off on Friday.
He starts saying it needs additional maintenance such as new washer blades- replaced a couple months ago, new oil & oil filiter- got it changed on July 3rd, new air filter- also just done, transmission flush- done by a transmission place, etc, etc. Obviously he is trying to rake us one.
I tell him it isn't my car, I can't authorize any of these additional things being done, as well as the fact many of them don't need done, but I will have the boss call him.
I did tell him the one item he brought up, the broken window, doesn't need diagnostics ran on it, we already know- it needs a new motor.
If he wants he can ask the warranty people if it is covered, but we are pretty sure it won't be.
I hang up with guy & call boss tell him what was said & give him direct line # to repairman.
Boss calls me back a bit later & says....."they took you for being blonde and a woman!! "
The dude tells him I authorized them to do additional stuff such as diagnosis the window.....ummmm NO!!!!! I directly told him we KNOW what the problem is, no diagnosis is needed!!
Boss was pretty straight with the guy & said, I know she didn't tell you diagnose the problem as we KNOW what it is!
I also know she told you I needed to be the one to authorize anything besides the radiator issue it was brought in for.
So at least he knew I wasn't the bimbo this guy took me for.
Why do these maintenance type guys always figure women are too stupid to know any different? ERG! Just ticks me off! Luckily my boss knows me pretty well and didn't take this guys crap.
