I got a new batch of books from the US. So I have some books I would like to donate. Can anyone help me get them to KAB (I have no access)?
Someone here posted that they only want hardcover books. If anyone else is interested in a bunch of good softcover books, they are also available for free.
If anyone can meet me somewhere near Naha that would be even better....

I wouldn't bother trying to donate softcover books Steve. They will accept hardcover, and they will take care of transferring softcover books to the thrift shop. If you're living near Naha, a better bet would be to donate your books to the Camp Kinser library.
Much closer to where you live.

What kind of soft covers do you have? Kadena will also take soft covers and hard covers. The soft covers I have donated are in circulation but they make sure they are in excellent condition. I can maybe get them to the library for you. We need to take a trip down to Naha soon anyways to get out and about.

That would be great Trail. Just send me a PM or e-mail when you are coming down here.
Most of the softcovers are good books and in good condition. Anyway, you are more than welcome to keep or give away any the library won't want. I Just got enough new (used) ones to overfill my shelves again.

What kind of books are they?
fiction, non-fiction.........
Am sure there may be some people on here (like me) who don't have
access to base libraries who might be interested in them:)

They are both fiction and non-fiction (mainly history and some biography). I have a list of the books I donated to the Prefectural library last year if you're interested. It is in Naha though.

I usually give all my old soft cover books to the Jail over here. So that when the Americans get tossed in the lock up for awhile, they gots something to read.
