We have 2 Xbox 360's, PS3 is way tooo expensive for me, they aren't even selling. A Wii is better than a PS3.

i work in a video store (where you rent movies and or games...dunnno the right english term...lol) and well we got about 30 Wii games, 30 ish 360 game. and 2 ps3. and no one wants to rent the two games and no one ask for more. in this part of the world, ps3 aint working at all.I wouldn't buy it. Prices are not likely to go down anytime soon cuz they are just not selling. (again...atless not here)

people will buy it for the few games that will solely be released on the ps3. I hate sony but I will still buy it eventually for that reason. I think sony was too hard headed and thought they could charge an assload for a system just because their sony and everyone will buy it anyway.

I prefer the 360 for a couple reasons...main being I own one, and I just think it is more accessible. The community is far bigger online if your into that. The library is far bigger for the 360 (it has a year head start). Someday I will buy a PS3 just for the SOCOM games, but not until I can find a used one for half the price.

IF your into Blue Ray though, PS3 cant be beat...$600 for a PS3 vice $1k for a BR player.

I really want to get the PS3 as I am sure the games for it will be awesome...once that actually start comeing out with more then the few they have now. I am kinda hoping they will bring the price down too, $600 is a little pricey for a game system in my opinion but then again, it is built more like a computer these days then the old style game systems so I kind of understand.

But I am looking forward to new editions of Gran Turismo, Need 4 Speed, and Grand Theft Auto designed specifically for the 3. They should look outstanding!

Didn't you hear boost? They dropped the price of the 60GB PS3 to $500. Which got me excited because I thought they would drop the price of the 20GB to $400. But no sony's stupid ass discontinued the 20GB instead and released a larger 80GB version for $600.:thumbdown:

Along with SOCOM, those were the games that were a huge draw for the Playstation...unfortunately for PS3, Need for Speed and GTA come out on at least the 360 and PC these days. Gran Turismo is a pretty awesome franchise, but Forza Motorsports 2 could give it a run for its money. IMO I think Forza is better because it has damage on the cars, and you can customize the cars to whatever you want.

That could be a bad thing for me, I tend to like push on the gas and not let up! :) But that would be fun for a more realistic effect while racing.

This part sounds really cool. I really like the games that give you more control to customize any and every part of your vehicle.

To be honest, I haven't heard of Forza, but I am interested to check it out. Was it ever released for the PS2?

The only complaint my hubby has with the 360 is the "three lights of death." His crashed and couldnt figure out why. He looked it up online and this is a major problem with the XBOX. Yahoo news even had an article about it last month and how they are extending their warranty. He didnt want to ship it off because someone else said it took 6mths to get it back and he cant live too long without playing it and I wouldnt let him buy another one. Sooo...he found directions online on how to fix the problem. Complicated really and could of destroyed the system all together if he did one thing wrong but he fixed it.

Forza is a Microsoft game, so it will only ever be on the Xbox. Wii is cool, but I just cant get into the controls of that system. Tried to play Driver 3, was way odd for me...my son and nephew really like it though.

Boost- If you like Gran Tursimo then you would love Forza. I had the first one and I just recently purchased the second one. There are more cars and depending on which region you pick, you can get the cars for cheaper from that region. I made mine japan since I wanted the siliva S15!

I've also seen some crazy ass custom paint jobs online. Oh that the other thing, you can race online. On the first one me and my buddy found a glitch in the game that let you finish a 100 lap race on the test course in 1 lap and you still get around 600,000 bucks for first.

well it's for the original forza, not forza 2. All you did was make a game on the round test track (I think it's about 4 miles long) and set it for the maximum amount of laps. Then start the race. As soon as the race starts, have the person who made the race leave the race and go to the lobby. While in the lobby all they have to do is change the number of laps to 1. Then once you finish you will get the prize for the original amount of laps. I think even last place gets around 50,000. The only person who doesn't get money is the person who made the race, since they left it early to do the glitch.

My gamertag on live is DeliciouSs. Right now I only have DSL so I'm not online much. But once I get fiber next month and once halo 3 comes out, I'll be online more.

I think that the PS3 is the new wave... They could have pushed PS1 to match the PS2 but they had to put out a new game unit that could match up with deamcast and the XBOX... Now... once again the PS3 has all the advanced features heading in the right direction this time... Now they not only have the better games... now they are getting the better graphics

Depends on what you consider True Gamers....if certain people love one genre of a game, and they are dedicated to it, arent they a true gamer? In San Diego at the GameCrazy I would usually go to, there was a whole following of adults that would play these DS games like they were the best thing since sliced bread....they would even have DS nights! The DS is a great system, you dont need anything other then two DSes to play head to head (and two games obviously)...that in itself is a big draw.

I have a DS and it has some of the best games for any hand held system out there right now. Just because the bx/px only carries the kiddy games doesn't mean that's all it has. Look at the PSP. It's a huge flop in the states. I bought one, and I'm still waiting for three games to come out that I want for it. That's it! Just three games worth buying that system for. But by your reasoning, it's the better system because it's games aren't 'kiddy'. A majority of the games released for the PSP are third party, poorly put together, rushed pieces of crap. Not that those don't exsist on other systems as well. Just look at the selection at the bx/px and you will see a vast majority of those crappy games. God if I see another video game about a movie I'm going to throw up.

What is AAFES logic behind that? Seriously? Rather then get a game that sells well at game stores back in the states, they just get a bunch of the latest video to game port. That's why once they get a good game it sells out in a day, yet the have tons of the crappy games that don't sell and they make them into bundle packs. Then it will be a month, if not longer, before they get more copies of those games in. That's why I order my games online.

Not only does the DS have games, it has educational games. Like language and brain teasers style games. Nothing like a game that gets you thinking!

Oh and a true gamer wouldn't judge a game by graphics or if it's 'kiddy' or not.

I personally have never played the DS... but that's not what this is about... is the XBOX 360 better that the PS3... Blue ray? enough said... the future of data transfers, movies, and graphics..


I know that there are some people that stuck on a couple game stations that they personaly like over other. A boy of mine loves the regular NES. Nothering wrong with that... but i guess true gamers, in the since that I wanted to aply, want to take on the next best thing. Not that they don't like the old stuff, but is cool to see where and how far video games have come.

And as for the Wii... this is just another Dreamcast waiting to die... Just like the PSP... it's a fade. People want it because it's cool right now... there are hardly any games that will "last the ages" like the other stations. Just put it to rest right next to the GameCube

Once again you make the moot point that just because the PS3 has better hardware and graphics that it will do better then the 360. Right now the 360 is doing better then the PS3. Me, I'm for all systems. Each one has something going for it, and so far it looks as if the PS3 is falling short. Maybe if they didn't charge 600 bucks for a PS3 it would do better. Right now the only thing pulling me towards a PS3 is the final fantasy series and metal gear solid 4 (Resident Evil 5 was on this list but now it's going to be on the xbox 360 too:D). That and it would be nice to have a blue ray disc player eventually. That's why I was hoping they would lower the price of the 20GB PS3. But sony is dumb and they did away with it.

Which one was released first... almost a year before the other one? How many add ons do you have to buy with the new XBOX 360? How many of your old XBOX stuff works on the XBOX 360?

You got me wrong man... I like the XBOX 360 in the fact that they are easy to mod and the games can be... attained easily. But when you step back and give the PS3 a chance... it's going to take the gaming stations to a new level... capable with older games, dvd ready out of the box, blue ray capablities, fresher games...


I mean Halo is a great game, the beta version of Halo 3 plays really will... but just watch the same disappoint at the end like Halo 2. I mean really... what does Xbox 360 have (besides Halo 3) that the PS3 doesn't do better? Goole the stats brother. The internet will set you free!!! ;)

So what I can't play old xbox games on my xbox 360. If I wanted to play an old xbox game, I'll play my old xbox. I can already download a lot of different old sega, nes, snes, and ps1 games onto my xbox 360.

Oh and the xbox 360 is dvd ready out of the box. It's just not HD dvd ready out of the box. But once again, if I want to watch a dvd, I'll use my dvd player and surround sound system.

Honestly, I would like to get rid of a game station if a new one came out that can do and play everything that the old one can. Maybe it's just me.

BECAUSE GRAPHICS AND FEATURES DON'T MAKE A GOOD GAMING SYSTEM. It's the games themselves that make the system! That's why the orginal PS was so good, it had a large selection of good games.

How is the Wii hurting? It's beating out the 360 and the PS3 in sales right now. You still can't even go to the bx and buy one. Yet they tend to get 360s and PS3s in often. Also, they are starting to port strictly PS games to the xbox, so that just shows that PS is not number one anymore.
