I want to publically apologize to the JU member resumes4success, I mistakenly quoted his name in a thread about wanting to make money for makeing reumes for people looking for jobs on Okinawa.
I did make the mistake of putting my home e-mail address in the thread and I got slammed with a bunch of junk mail.
A GS friends of mine in the IT world explained that most likely a Google Bot or something to that effect founf my e-mail address, or someone submitted it to a spam list and I got a ton of e-mails for sex toys, dating, car ads, resume help and more.
The guy that kept hounding me was named Richard Giles, (If that is his real name) and when I posted in the thread here, I mistakenly said Robert, and should have said Richard, my mistake.
I have already appologized to Robert and I hope he understands.
Robert has been nothing short of helpful in sending job listings to me and encourgaeing me to try for non - DOD jobs as a means for finding a job on Okinawa.
On a side note, I have a job intervirew tonight for a GS-11 job, and I hope all goes well. I'll keep you posted.
Again sorry to robert and those like him that have good advice, want to help, contructive critizium and feel for those of us still trying hard each day to get back to Okinawa.
Very Repsectfully,
SGT_OKINAWA
P.S. I have learned my lesson NOT to put my e-mail in a public forum.
