Any suggestions on a nice decent hotel outside of Yokota airbase. I'll be flying into Yokota this Thursday and the Kanto lodge doesn't have any rooms available.
so any help will do thanks:smile4:

Hotel Morikawa is reasonable, and has a resturant. VERY "base close"...like right across the road. Known and used for YEARS by transient military folks. A web search should turn up some results.

I like the New Sanno myself. I figure it might be 2 late, but you can check it out. You can make reservation online.

La Festae Yokota: www.festae.com/yokota/
Hotel New Asahi: www.ne.jp/asahi/match/relax/
Honcho Business Ryokan: www.bea.hi-ho.ne.jp/tama33/index.html
But they are small business type or love hotel.
If you want a nice hotel, go to Tachikawa, 15 minute train ride from Fussa.

Thanks OldTimer. I'm a pretty much "stay at home" kinda guy, and not too familiar with the local hotels. ONE great place (reservations can be made by phone...not sure about over the net) is Tama Lodge. Shuttles run 3 or 4 times a day between base and "Camp Tama", but a GREAT place to stay with a great staff, food, and a "mini" shoppette right in the building. Nothing but nice things to say about those folks!!! http://www.yokotasupport.com/page.php?62.3
