love watching that show...in hawaii its subtitled though. am really facinated, about how the united states helped to bring about the downfall of the tokugawa shogunate....and start up japanese imperialisim...which i think eventually led to pearl harbor , after many years of aggressive behaiviour....
the nhk taiga dramas are just excellent...the one crappy one that i saw since i started to watch the shows.. was yoshitsune because the lead actor...imho.. just could not act to save his life......
