Try local churches, or Marine thrift shops. Whatever you do, don't bring old clothes to the Goodwill store on 58, that's a computer and electronics store. I do believe they'll buy some old electronic gear from you.:)

Airman's Attic on Kadena has a drop off point. Or put an ad in JU and let one of the flea marketers buy it off of you. Make a few $$

The Airmen's Attic will gladly accept secondhand and new items for free. They sell useful household items at a very discounted price to airmen families. I don't know if there's a cap for purchasing there, but I know they can use the help. They're typically open Tuesday - Thursday 11:00 - 16:00, if I remember correctly. They have varying hours, but those are the ones that match the most. They're located just off Fairchild on the flightline side of Douglas; turn toward the base at the stop sign after the Fairchild/Douglas light. If you run into the flightline, you've gone too far. heh.

That is funny because when we first got here, I saw the big yellow Goodwill on 58 and said
"Holy crap! That is a big Goodwill! And they have computers!" ::: all excited :::
Mr.Trail: "Ummm.... I don't think it's the kind of Goodwill you are thinking of. Why would they have computers?"
::: doubtful in his wife's logic :::
"But, but it's says Goodwill... I am confused." says I. ::: disappointed :::

If you put an ad in JU for say $50, it'll be gone tomorrow...and you get a tank of gas to boot.

Goodwill is off base located on hwy 58 across from camp Lester. You can drop off goods there before hours. Not sure what will happen to them but hopefully the homeless guy walking the 2 dogs will come by and take them. Or the other guy that stands in the middle of 58 who collects rain water.

Just guessing, but I seriously doubt that you've read the entire thread before responding.:scratchchin:

That Goodwill store on 58 was started a few years ago when the retro clothes were popular. The guy, and I don't remember his name, had went to the States on vacation and while he was there found that the Goodwill stores were stocked with cheap, retro clothes, so he started shipping them back and initially sold them in the Chatan flea market and when he had enough money he opened up the Goodwill store on 58 as a fashion store. Apparently, now it's a computer store since the retro look is once again retro.

I'm going to miss leaving the states... Ross, TJ Max, and Marshall's have great buys. I think I bought most of my jeans there
The airman's attic here at Langley is very picky, so I take the stuff down to Salvation Army or get the Needy Vets come pick it up

Take em to Manga Soukou. They buy your old stuff. Usually don't get much for it, but at least you can get rid of it.
