MINNEAPOLIS — The I-35W highway bridge over the Mississippi River (javascript:siteSearch('Mississippi River');) in Minneapolis collapsed during evening rush hour Wednesday, sending many cars and motorists into the water.

Been watching it all morning... I hate when my dream come true...but I use to drive on that bridge many years ago..
Wow, that's pretty scary! I smell a couple dozen lawsuits!

No doubt! I can only imagin the sensation of just sitting there in your car and then all of the sudden plunging down to the river. Makes me not want to drive over a bridge ever again!

When I was a kid I had a friend who was so paranoid about even walking on a bridge...
I bet a bunch of kids that were on this bridge and survived develop this fear for themselves.

I believe there was actually a bus on there when it collapsed! Talk about freakin out!! I can't even imagine how freaky of a sensation this would be.

When I was a kid I had a friend who was so paranoid about even walking on a bridge...
I used to be a little paranoid once I crossed over big bridges once I was a little kid, still kinda am. Not to the point where I wouldn't cross, but I'd keep my fingers crossed the whole time.

Where I grew up there were two bridges that were shared by both trains and cars (just not at the same time). I used to worry that as I got half way across, a freight train would start coming and just plow me over!
Maybe you should've hung out on that bridge longer!
