Hello everyone, hope you are doing well,

Just thought I would share:

Back in 1991/2 I "worked" at the Canon Club on BC Street on Fri & Sat.
I ran the lights and sound boards for the band. I was the guy that made
the lights fade in and out and etc. I also played the videos (Crashing cars,
true TV, Cops style tapes the military guys loved to watch when the band
was on break)

For the most part the band was a collage of members and most notably
was George Murasaki, of Murasaki Band. He has 20+ albums cut in Japan
and last I saw him was at the beach fest in Ginowan in 2001. The rest
was, Turbo-san, Satomi-san, and others oh and the drummer ichi-san but
did not get his full name ever, huh? Anyhow they even had a few American
Military singers there too; Cody was one of them and along with a guy who
I don't remember his name. Mama-san would give me 20 bucks for my work,
but I really did not like taking it because I enjoyed listening to the great
classic 70's + 80's songs like deep Purple, Ozzy Osborne, Led Zeppelin,
and more.

I last saw the Cannon club was turned into a photo studio for kids 100
days, 3, 5, 7 pictures.

to bad Cannon Club was freaking awesome!

Peace! :army: and please if anyone has pictures of Cannon Club please
post, I'll do the same here in a few weeks, going to have to dig them out
and scan them.

Take care,

Bro, I still have a Cannon t-shirt. I was the crazy f**k that always requested Long Train Running. The Doobies rock. Cannon Mama was always so cool to me and my boys. Thanks for the show during the breaks. The Orion was always cold and the show was hot. Much love for BC and Cannon.

No problem, I have waited years to "say anything about this" for fear that I could get into trouble for working while I was in the USMC. But that was 20 years ago, and like I said, Moma-san was just giving me a $20 for "helping" I so enjoyed working the lights, hanging with the band.

In fact, they came to our wedding, I'll post some pictures soon.

:D I so miss the old cannon club, you know the band went to the room to the right, off stage, it was a little room, and man we used to sit back there and joke and .... *wink* drink and talk about the strangest stuff. I remember though that Turbo was a bit "stuck up" but cool too, the guy that replaced him, not many people know this, had a heart condition that made him tired fast and when George Murasaki played the organ really loud, he would have to play his guitar even harder to "break even" on the sound.

Oh oh, yeah... remember weeble wobble guy that parked cars in that parking lot at the "up around the end of BS street" he was so cool, he was a midget if I remember? Anyhow had messed up legs, so I called him the weeble wobble guy. I used to tip him 200 yen extra, (That was a lot back in 1988-1992) for watching my Skyline extra careful.

Oh good old days at the Cannon club, only thing I still have is a Japanese flag with all the band members signature on it.

I so need to post some pictures! Augg! I will, I promise!.

Peace!:army::D
