Hello everyone, hope you are doing well,
Just thought I would share:
Back in 1991/2 I "worked" at the Canon Club on BC Street on Fri & Sat.
I ran the lights and sound boards for the band. I was the guy that made
the lights fade in and out and etc. I also played the videos (Crashing cars,
true TV, Cops style tapes the military guys loved to watch when the band
was on break)
For the most part the band was a collage of members and most notably
was George Murasaki, of Murasaki Band. He has 20+ albums cut in Japan
and last I saw him was at the beach fest in Ginowan in 2001. The rest
was, Turbo-san, Satomi-san, and others oh and the drummer ichi-san but
did not get his full name ever, huh? Anyhow they even had a few American
Military singers there too; Cody was one of them and along with a guy who
I don't remember his name. Mama-san would give me 20 bucks for my work,
but I really did not like taking it because I enjoyed listening to the great
classic 70's + 80's songs like deep Purple, Ozzy Osborne, Led Zeppelin,
and more.
I last saw the Cannon club was turned into a photo studio for kids 100
days, 3, 5, 7 pictures.
to bad Cannon Club was freaking awesome!
Peace! :army: and please if anyone has pictures of Cannon Club please
post, I'll do the same here in a few weeks, going to have to dig them out
and scan them.
Take care,
