Any small road off of the main ones up north his nice. You've got to be willing to get lost to find them. Just be careful because okinawans like to park in the middle of the road on a blind curve for no reason (happened to a buddy of mine).

Drive up like you are going to Hedo or Okuma...then just take a right or left anywhere! If you take a right off of 58, you will usually find yourself back down in Nago or on 329 near Schwab.

Its good to have a good route when out on the bike cause if you go the wrong direction down 58 man all you get is stop and go traffic.

I've always enjoyed riding up north of Nago. I can't remember the number of road (71???77???) it's a little bit past the big mushroom bus stop. You go right and follow it to the other side of the island. During that ride you will go up and down two large hills. Lots of turns going up and back down again. I takes awhile but is a good time. You end up on 329 north of Swab. Not much help...I haven't been on that ride for awhile.

You should...according to your picture you ride a crotch rocket...that's an outstanding knee dragging ride. Lots of kickbacks. You'll really get to put your bike thru its motions.

American Legion Riders ride every Sunday morning.
Mostly cruisers though.

Sorry guys, I could tell you of some awesome routes here in the states but I don't suppose that would help you much. :)

head up to schwab, go to the light just north of the main gate, hang a right and hold on.
Like most others said though, just about anywhere up north on 58, if you go left or right off of 58, your sure to have a good time. Just be ready for those old people who like to get there mountain water, parked on the sides of the roadways.
and one other thing, some of those roads can be pretty unforgiving...
If you head up before say 9am, you can usually get away from the traffic.

That light is at the Bull Ring! That is a twisty turny downhill ride! NOT A FUN RUN ROUTE AT ALL! I've done that one way too many times on foot!

I usually night ride on Friday nights, a few of us meet up and do Starbucks in Naha. Sunday is the day for Northern rides, that's when most of the local riders head out. I have taken many routes, sometimes not going the whole way to the tip. Little side trips like Kaouri (spelling) Island are good rides! Rides around the Southern end, past Peace Prayer Park are nice on a Saturday afternoon too!

Off Topic but... Do all the riders know about the motorcycle rodeo on 21 Sep? It will be held at the Kadena motorcycle safety range from 0700-1200ish and is open to all SOFA status motorcycle riders. This event is sponsored by the USMC and during the last hour, elections will be held to appoint officers for the new USMC Riding Club. There will be a friendly competition with small prizes given and a trophy to top rider. I believe there will also be a band and some free water and gatorade compliments of the commissary. Come on out and have fun or hang out with other island riders, I will be there helping with the riding events...

The route people talk about towards Hedo is 70. Gorgeous ride and love those twisties but remember, when wet, it could get slippery.

Parts... Mail order if possible!
Tires... Brad at BikeShopGixer on Hwy 329, just south of Camp Hansen has great tire prices...
