Post places you will absolutely not go to again because of a bad experience or a certain "vibe" there? These places cannot be those in which do not cater to Americans, are already off limits, or was a place where you made a complete a** out of yourself and will not return due to humiliation.

1. Chi Chi's - $20 to get in the door, and $6 beers on top of that!?

2. Foster Theatre - Teenagers

3. Harley Bar - listening to an old biker talk about Thai hookers all night is not exciting

4. Banyan Tree - woman: "how old are you?" me: "23" woman: "that's cute"
A-hole to elbow smoking ROOM.

5. Globe & Anchor (Friday&Saturday after 11pm) - 20 min wait for a drink!?

6. E-club's Karaoke nights - Enough said

7. American Pub - "No, I do not want to buy you a drink", "ok then sit in the corner by yourself and look lonely"

8. Banana show - you have to ask? "He's not going to eat the....OH MY GOD!"

Club Air in Naha. Blatantly racist. They do cater to foreigners if you bring one local with you per foreigner, but I wouldn't bother.

Some seafood/crab restaurant near the airport (You'll see pictures of a crab). Not very good crab.

I've had some bad experiences but, I'll just tell you some. And this was more than 10yrs ago, I was still a teen.

There's a resturant 100yds after you pass Awase Golfcourse on the left hand side. You have to go downstairs. Me and my girlfriend went there for lunch. I ordered the "A" lunch, you know a bunch of stuff costing 1300. First off it took, 30 mins to get our food, I wouldn't mind if it was dinner, but it was lunch. Next, the dinner was soo crappy looking, the oil didn't look like it was changed for 1 year my fried foods were just about black. I took one look at it and decided to return it. I asked the people could I get a new plate and they looked at me funny, so they take the plate back and left the soup and salad. They gave me the same plate back with one cutlet looking dark brown, still not appealing. I took the salad dressing which was mayo and ketchup and started squirting it everywhere in the resturant. In potted plants, moving sofa chairs against walls, above cubbards.....just anywhere they couldn't find the dressing. I paid and left....and never returned cause I know it had to have stunk so bad for days probably weeks. ha ha ha...

Sometimes Zavaras, nice disco in naha only the old school would know, wouldn't let you in because you were an american. Now it was on the 14th? floor of the revolving resturant so it took some time to get up there. I would leave a stink bomb inside the elevator if I didn't get it that night.

Even though I was the only guy who stood up wouldn't get picked at Naha Music because they wanted to see a tourist perform.

It's not called taking it up the ass it's called acting your age and being mature. Why waste the effort and time to act like a fool once your time could be spent elsewhere? Just pay and leave and don't give them your business ever again and spread the word. That would hurt business more then taking a shit on their floor. Unless it's a place that doesn't cater to americans, then it really doesn't matter what you do because you'll get the raw deal in the end. Or possibly cause another international incident and screw everything up for the rest of us.

Call the cops about crappy food. What kind of charge would that be exactly? Would one call the SP's, or JP's in that type of situation, or would it be a joint operation? Maybe NCIS could get hold of the platter, test for toxins, and waterboard the assailants.

that place is horrible.. the meat is disgusting and fatty... it was hot as hell in there... a big waste of time and yen... no more yakiniku for me

The best Yakiniku is the one by the Kitamae gate, make the left at Cow Cow car lot and pass dragon chinese place on the left. Its down on the right side at the corner across from where the Hot Spar used to be. Exspensive but excellent.

The Yakiniku Viking behind Hamby Town San A is the shit...... 9 bucks for lunch, hour and a half time limit.

Karubi daiho makes all other yaki niku places look like crap. It's a tad more expensive but it's well worth it! Another good one is any of the goen yaki niku places. Just a little cheaper then karubi daiho but you can do a drinking plan if you wanted to. Not to mention they have corn while karubi daiho does not.

There is a place in Naha that is suppose to be pretty good do. Bombouy's I think is the name? Anyone eaten there? I've heard nothing but good things about it.

The cooking part of it is cool as a get together. You know, get around a fire, burn some meat, drink some beer. It's kind of like camping without the bug bites, or a cookout without having to clean up after. The cheapo "american" yakiniku places (Try, Goen, etc.) are no good.

That yakiniku joint across the street from Kadena Gate 1 is horrible. I always hated it when the company I worked for (not JU) at the time would have company parties there. Horrible meat. The only redeeming factor is that they had beer, but every restaurant on this island serves beer.

Seriously, that place is terrible. And I agree completely with you about the cheepo yakiniku places sucking. I think this one was one of them. Pretty much, if it's yakiniku and it's right outside of a base, it's going to be subpar.

That pizza restaurant next door sucks too. Isn't there an izakaya over there too? I wonder how it is, or if it's cursed with that road's "doomed to be horrible" curse that the other restaurants have been afflicted by.
