I actually did not run across vv's latest thread, before DocP, locked it down.

That is a good thing. It had something to do with one of Maggie's posts, and I'm not complaining.

But vv, made some pretty serious accusations. I wish to put those accusations to rest.

Within his response, he was talking about being sick of my replies, and that the only reason my replies are tolerated was due to the fact that I "promise beer", to the mods, or to dk.

Those assumptions are false. The "Mod's" will happily ding me, as any other poster out there who ticks them off. I request no special favors. You may not see it on-line, but they fire off PM's every once in a while.

One of the things that really tick off people like vv, is that I won't post links. It's actually better for people like that, due the fact that I do not agree with their line of thinking. They tend to post the most favorable threads, to support their arguments. That's a good thing.

When I disagree with something that they have said, they want links. They already know which links I am referring to. They depend on my not posting those "links" to show you that I'm "shallow" in my thoughts. The idea that you would actually challenge their ideas, is lost on them. I've got the links, too lazy to post them. The idea about other readers out there doing some research, well, it's just preposterous.

I would say that what he believes in, is what he believes in.

I have my beliefs as well, and I indeed think him to be a "jellyfish".

I like this post from you:

This one will follow TP around as if he was a hopeful suiter, thinking that because he PUBLICLY offers beer to others on-line he is beyond reproach.

I actually have my own "TROLL" !!!!

Why else would you care about what I've said?

Bones, I think vv is referring to your displays in the chat that have gone like this:

Bones: Hi dk.
dk: Hi Bones.
Bones: What ya doin?
dk: Ah, nothin much.
Bones: Want some beer?
dk: Sure.
Bones: What kind?
dk: Anything is ok.

Seeing that a few times or something similar to that, one wonders why you make such a display public and not just a private PM between two friends.

Hmm, not sure why it would matter. Bones has gone out of his way to help me with a luxury that I can't often afford given my current situation. I'd call that generosity. If he wants to do it quickly on the chatbox because he sees me chatting there, that's his business and he shouldn't have to justify it to anyone.

Quick question: Why? why would he need to or feel the need to make such a conversation private? It seems like small talk to me and that is what the chat box is for.:) Are we not allowed to make confessions of friendship or displays of friendship public on the forums?

I wasn't around for those, but couldn't it that just be said in jest? I don't think anyone thinks that BigMonsta is going to kill everyone that says the "N" word or that buttsecks is going around the forum?

He doesn't have to justify it. Just saying it may make some wonder and a person to comment on it.

Kinda like when I tell someone they have made a good point and catch flack for it or sarcasm for it. Not that I have to justify why or who I tell someone that they have made a good point. But a person reading my words may comment on it.

I just commented on the point of making an observation and the point of justifying it.

No one should feel bad for being generous. Just the public display about it there seems rather... hmmm... I don't know... kinda like tugging on a shirt to get attention and going one step further to pay for that attention.

vvloc can add to the discussion more since he made the observation first and Bones wanted to bring it back. Maybe vvloc will be more blunt about it. I'm trying to be a little more diplomatic about it.

Just pointing out how silly it sounds if you are going to post some outrageous statements and can't back them up. Don't worry... I'm not planning on going back to dig any up (but can't promise), but maybe vv will point a few out.

Really, though, just how much energy does it take to support something with a link once in a while? I haven't paid attention to many of your posts, so maybe I am wrong and you do sometimes post links to support what you are saying on some of the weightier issues you have decided to comment on from time to time. vvloc
07-11-2008, 10:56 AM
Sorry to "rain on the premature" props, DocP, but nevertheless, I thank you for offering me credit that is not quite deserved; however I DO have a reply,

One would think that with my clearly expressed anti-war, anti-racist, anti-homophobic and anti-disinformation attitudes, combined with my passionate beliefs that TP should be allowed the freedom to express his beliefs unencumbered by constant hectoring by some like habu

that I would wear my personal contributions to the forum on my "sleeve" in an effort to ameliorate some of the hatred I've engendered.

But in contrast to habu's didactic repetitive monologue; {Hey __, what ya' doin'? Mind if i come over? Want some beer? Bud or Orion (Anyone half-way paying attention knows that __ prefers Orion over that swill Bud light, habu of German origin no less, considers to be beer}, I prefer not to try and burnish my credentials by publicly being mr. nice guy, even if it will lessen the antipathy toward my views.

There are easily a dozen of you who know that I have responded to matters of assistance PRIVATELY via PMs.

They range from the Vietnamese woman who requested aid in settling here, and received no responses but mine. She, a lawyer and her husband a post-doctoral researcher at Ryudai are now comfortably settled on island; to the person who indicated cancer problems within the family, to some who indicated computer dissatisfaction, to some who requested soup making tips, to some who indicated pain management difficulties; and a whole slew of similar situations.

See, my philosophy in dispensing help is not to show others what a good guy I am, and especially not to be a suck-up, so some might forgive me the sin of defending things and people whom others dislike.

It is somewhat akin to the concept of unconditional love - giving without expectation of return.

However, as is the case with habu, his response addresses issues only which he wishes to address.

In my post, I accuse him of stalking TP relentlessly, and being cowardly enough to launch the bulk of his attacks while TP is not around. I see no response from habu on that matter.

I further accuse him of vilely threatening to sneak up on TP's home and harrass TP's wife. Recently some have been warned about bringing member's families into agitated discourse - I am not aware of any such warning being issued to habu regarding his despicable words.

Furthermore, when habu, the good german, compared TP to Hitler, i told him that he should (especially as a german who claims to have suffered discrimination when he was five) be ashamed of himself for such a comment. The silence was typically deafening, as habu apparently saw nothing wrong with the heinous analogy.

habu expresses joy that i didn't sleep well, yet has nothing to say about me accusing him of lying when he suggested that Chavez's 65% majority election was achieved at the point of a gun. Similarly, when I express amazement that habu apparently feels that Chavez should be more concerned about american gas problems than using the proceeds to benefit Venezuelans, habu is again silent.

Similarly when I chide him for being ignorant of the fact that VERY few Russians have a 1ST name Friedrich (Nietzche), who habu thinks isn't german. there is no response.

So in essence the sum total of habu's response "putting accusations to rest,"
is:

I'm glad vv lost sleep.
I have links to support my points, but I'm too lazy to post them.
There's nothing wrong with me bringing beer to others.
VV is a jellyfish.

http://www.japanupdate.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7018

Pfffft.

I stand by all the accusations I made in this post:

http://www.japanupdate.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6912

except for the fact that habu's response convinces me that his head is MORE maggot infested than Kaiser Wilhelm's

Bones doesn't bring me beer often enough for that to be a reliable bet. I'm not going to risk a dry week next week. Not a good idea.

Well, dk, I know that you've been studying hard, and that you need to ask the wife for permission to have friends over. But if you're in need, pm me with a date and time, and I'll be over with the refreshments. Let me know if DougP plans on showing up, and I'll bring an extra case. Anytime next week would be good for me.

As far as the rest of our "dysfunctional family" who had responded, thanks for the laughs.

Thanks Bones. Will do! :D

A much better display when it goes down in chat, Bones. Here it loses that tug on the shirt appeal.

Pfffft.

I stand by all the accusations I made in this post:

http://www.japanupdate.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6912

except for the fact that habu's response convinces me that his head is MORE maggot infested than Kaiser Wilhelm's

You know, vvloc? There is one thing that distinguishes me, from you.

Actually, there are a couple of things.

The biggest complaint that I have, when dealing with people like you, is your belief about life. You want everything that you have served to you on a "Silver Platter".

I'm one of those many men, and women, who sat at the table. I'm one of those people, who you depend upon, to make sure that your wishes come true.

If I could ask a favor of you, go to a park, hug a tree. That will probably do a lot to help you feel better about yourself, and my attacks on your buddies.

No matter what I have tried, my friends are gone forever.

There is another benefit to hugging a tree. It allows you make posts out on the web, ridiculing the belief's of the the people who have served their country, and those who have died doing so.

I would gladly feel the pain of being ridiculed, if it would take away the pain of seeing the looks on parent's faces, when I knocked on their doors.

More often, than not, the remains of their children were draped in a flag covered coffin.

Hey boners, You don't know me from dick - I have worked in several VA hospitals as a volunteer to Vietnam vets and literally given thousands of hours of my time to them.

I have been a volunteer radio newsreader at a radio station catering to the blind. I have given my time voluntarily to my country in dozens of ways every year of my life.

The differences between you and I are VERY many - you got paid for what you do; and I do what I do to better OUR world. Another major difference is I don't blow my horn nor delude myself as to what a hero I am like mr "commander of men".

I just do what I do silently - my reward is knowing that I work to make this world a better place.

Another major difference is I am not cowardly like you - You posted this at 9:42 and at 9:44 announced on chat "gone." Typical of the way you operate.

Was this written in another of your alcoholic blurs or just your clearly established habit of lying humbuggery when facts fail to support your delusions?

Now how could a good and proper woman like you know what stranger's dicks look like? Bottle ain't the only thing you been sucking down, lately?
