I should have added to my original post:
If you are here and not in the military, what do you do for a living and what has kept you here?
If you are here and not in the military, what do you do for a living and what has kept you here?
I'm not in the military and I am currently in the interview process for being the main importer/supplier of illicit drugs here in Okinawa.
I am well connectted with both the Columbian and Mexican drug lords who are looking for someone to be their go-between here in Japan and points further east into Afganistan where the poppy fields are yeilding record crops which means more heroin for both the Asian and US markets.
I am looking forward to making millions between now and the end of the year........welcome to JU, this place is the main point of distribution. You may notice that there are plenty of wacked out members posting here who all happen to be my customers.
The admin here DK is a crack dealer btw.....
Can I get you anything?:grin1:

7 years on the first tour and this one will be 2 years long. Unfortunately the majority of those 2 years I have been deployed or TDY. I got back from Yuma on May 2 and this past 2 months is the longest continuous stretch I have been on this island. I will be leaving in Nov. Yes I will miss it but I miss my biker buddies, my Harley and my guns more. :thumbup1:

Income from on base job here on Okinawa. Also retirement check from the military, and prior investments. (real estate)
Am employed currently, and not here living on visa from wife, nor living in home provided from wife's family. (Paying exhorbantant amount reserved for scum-sucking SOFA status employees of US Gov)
Returned here, via job...for the hundredth time.

LMAO! Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean everyone isn't out to get me!
I do get a kick out of a family telling me "oh yeah, we've been here a very long time, just starting our fourth year here..." followed by the expectant look as they wait for me to say, "gee, really? How can you stay here so long, don't you miss the states?"
It could be a recording, it goes over and over so often. I no longer ask any personal questions other than "are you married?"

Maybe I should just start waving flags and saying "**** what everyone else thinks! My opinion is the only one that matters!".
:edit: gotta love the "unamerican" part! LOL obey it or leave it! I'll also take a sunny walk in the park over flying though the steets in my POS (insert one: mark II, chaser, supra, 180, silvia, skyline) anyday!
They funniest part is, I'm very "middle of the road". Yet the extremeist types (like yourself) on both sides can't see that because if someone doesn't think like you, they're wrong. Anybody every play lemmings?

Whatever the case may be with this sad case of ineffectual protoplasma, there are serious sexuality issues here.

But to set aside some of the confusion, I have been here roughly over 18 years, off-on, both military and civilian. There are some posters here who have been here much longer, and on a continuous basis than I have.
But as far as the last part goes, I am not currently employed, and I did move my family back over out of my own pocket.
