Was talking with okisteve last week about how I had been here a while, but somehow never made it there. Well, finally made it today. Time well spent! :thumbup1:

Yeah, E, that is a nice park. Been there a few times. Too bad that it is not bigger. Most of it is on the three sides of a small valley with a stream running down the center.
My wife told me that her Okinawan acquaintances had told her that in their younger days that that park was popular for some dusk hanky-panky by a lot of high school kids. Or maybe it was just those acquaintances.
Not sure about now, though.

P, it's in Sueyoshi. Really. Kind of a give-away, I figured...Shuri, Sueyoshi-cho.

The monorail stops nearby...Shiritsu Byoin (Naha Citizen's Hospital).

Yes but I can tell someone that shuri castle is in shuri and they still won't have any idea how to get there.

It's actually across the road from the Yu-rail station that is at the City Hospital in Shuri - something like shiritsubyoinmae eki.

Not long enough! No matter how long you are here there are always little places you'll find that you've never knew about. I've been around the island, but still don't know where everything is at.
I will defiantly try to check it out. Do they allow pets?

Thanks for the info. Found it on my GPS and marked it so I should have no problem finding it. I might have even driven by it before and just not know what it was. Once I mentioned it to the wife she knew exactly where it was and then said it was haunted and said her brother saw a ghost while he was peeing in the park at night one time. But everywhere on this island is haunted to her:rolleyes:.

My GPS memory is gonna be full! (not that it isn't already) This is the kind of place I really like to find, tucked away in "plain sight".
