So far I found that tomatoes, avocados, printer cartridges, and external harddrives are significantly cheaper.

And the avocados are much fresher too.

Any others? Does anyone know a link that does price comparisons?

Pretty much most vegies and fruits are cheaper downtown. The new contract that the Commissary is using for fruits and veggies is insane. It's not a local decision, the higher chain has decided that the all Okinawa Commissaries will use this contractor.

Where do you buy fruits and vegetables at? I'm over at Torii Station, and the only places I've seen is Max Value and a smaller grocery store near the main gate.

ill gladly pay a few cents more for the things that are more expensive off-base, just to not have to deal with the dependapotomous on all the bases. so the answer is, "only go to base for work/atm"
