In case some of yall didn't know, I make hip hop/R&B beats on my computer. I just finished another one, it took me 5 weeks!! Anyway, if you're interested please stop by http://www.myspace.com/obe1canole and check it out, its called "Mason" (don't ask why). Let me know what you think if you do happen to listen to it. Thanks!

Hey man, good job! Sounds like a soft beat. Have you been working on recording yet? Learning anything new or recommend any sites or reading material?

Nice. Not exactly my style of music, but much respect for doing your own thing. Original music is ALWAYS better than trying to be a jukebox.
I just started learning to play bass, and got into using the computer more for recording and effects. Always something new to learn, and so many creative cool people out there. Great job, keep it up.

I didn't hear anything non- "white" about his music. What is white music anyways?
Plus, he looks like a fellow Italian to me. Nice nose Obe, they make for good penetration devices for the ladies don't they? LOL

What software are you using? I've been learning Reaper and Hydrogen, mostly because they're free. Best purchase I've made so far is a firewire audio interface, got a Line6 and it kicks! Beats the 4-track I have that records on cassettes for sure.

He's using Fruity Loops. Good program, but you have to have some time to actually sit down and learn it.
Nice beat by the way. Keep it up bro.

FL Studio 7. It's easy to just lay down a loop but it gets difficult when you want to use automation and edit note properties and stuff.

Obe 1, I listened to that new cut of yours. It doesn't sound like the same old hiphop put out today - at least the stuff aired over the radio. You've managed to mix in some bad-ass futuristic flavoring too. I listened to rap in the late seventies and early eighties and then stopped. Thought it had become too formulaic after the Beastie Boys hey day. I really like what I heard. I would definitely buy some stuff like that.

Thanks for your input. I didn't really have any intention with that beat.... I just started throwing sounds together one night when I was drunk and out came that! I wish I had more projects finished, you might be interested at how versatile my style is. Anyway, I gotta start working on a new one, I'll post it when I'm done. Thanks again!
