Flower / Tree Name?

Does anyone know the name of this flower and the tree from which it sprung? It is in my neighbors yard, and they dont know the name either. It is not a big tree, but has decent shade. The flowers look really cool. I am thinking of planting one in my yard but have not seen any for sale. And no, i'm not gay, it is just a cool flower.

SW, some yards around here have that tree, too. The thing I don't like about that tree is that the trunk grows in a way which seems to make the tree lean. It also doesn't seem to be very full in its leafage. They sell these at Makeman. Next time I go I will look for the name.

Didn't someone post before that it is a Plumeria? That post disappeared, or did I imagine it?. It's also called Frangipani, so if you have ever hung around the incense counter at a head shop you'll flash back to the smell.

Plumeria flowers are most fragrant at night in order to lure sphinx moths to pollinate them. The flowers have no nectar, and simply dupe their pollinators. The moths inadvertently pollinate them by transferring pollen from flower to flower in their fruitless search for nectar.

Sex Wax, those are plumeria blossoms and come from a plumeria tree/bush. They are my favorite so far on the island next to the hibiscus. They have VERY fragrant, fleshy blossoms.

I told you I'd get the name for you the next time I went to Makeman, and I have (sorry it took so long).

This tree is called a Plumeria. They are selling them at Makeman in Chatan now. Prices range between ¥1,900~¥4,500. Smallest about 40 cm. Tallest, a little under 1 meter. Two kinds, a pinkish flower like the one you posted, and a white flower.

thank you to all the peeps that helped me out with the identification of said tree. AS far as the gayness factor goes, i'm about as gay as ...... the most non-gay person you know. I just think it is a really cool tree. and since i am not a barracks rat, and i have a yard, i think it would be cool to plant in the yard for future BBQs. Not to say that living on base is bad, but i would rather have a molten lava enema, before i would be in close contact with so many dependapotamus' and base stayers.
