Hey dk,

My oldest boy would like to play in the arcade so I was wondering if there would be away to create an account he could use that wouldn't be required to make the minimum number of posts required to play? He's 11 so I don't know that I would want him running ramp id in the forum. :)

Let me see what I can do. If I find a way, I'll PM him. I don't mind if he uses your account though. Or is he a gaming god?

How do you think Boost gets all those high scores?? He's not doing it himself! :D

LoL-well he's not yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if he played a little bit and then totally killed me on some of the games! As weird as it sounds, most of the games in the arcade are foreign to him being he is a child of the PS/PS2 era. Not as familiar with the joy in more simplistic games like pacman and frogger. :)

Yep, that's it exactly! :D

Figure I'll let him play on my account for now, but if he gets good, let him have an account to show off any 1st places he gets!

Yes but if we just let people sign up just to play the arcade, no one will use the forum. We already have people who just go through and post one liners like "I totally agree with you". We want posts with substinance and want to know people opinions on subjects. I'm not saying you have to write a small novel like some users, because I don't like to make my posts much more then two paragraphs.

And some one liners are totally acceptable.

See! ^

It's when people do NOTHING but post one liners that I start to get irritated.

^ I totally agree....:D

Sometimes one liners are expected if thats all that is needed to say what your going to say. Such as the explain your username topic, there are a bunch in there that are totally fine.

None taken I am 44 btw. When I read that post you wrote I for some reason or another thought it was written by someone much younger than you. Hence my question, I didnt want to assume something that may not have been true. Sorry if I offended you by asking.

My youngest son likes playing some of the games here, I dont allow him to post or read threads but he likes the games.

Somewhere on here it was brought up if dk was planning to reset the scores when it seemed like we hit a gridlock.

He said he was not planning on it. Having the challenge of beating a long set high score is part of the excitement/competition.

So I dunno, that we will see any resets.
And you know, if you busted your balls to reach an all time high score:first: and then because others couldn't reach it the system was reset, you would probably be pretty ticked. :cursing::cursing:

but that's half the fun... getting them all over again ;)

not the same sweetness of accomplishment beating a 5000pt score as there is beating a 9812 pt score.

But like I just said on the poll- I see the fun in actually being able to play and have immediate competition verses a score that sits for a couple months before someone gets any where near it.

If we kept a hall of fame like DrP mentioned, that could work as you could still strive to beat the hall of famer and throw that victory in there.

i Agree with the hall of fame thing
