Youth Activities?

Does anyone know of any good activities for younger kids? I'm talking around 5 or so....

Building sand castles on the Beach is always fun. My 3 daughters love it. Or just letting them explore the tide pools with all the little fishies and other sea critters in them. That way you get to sit on the Beach while they play.
