Landscaping Off Base

Gotta open question for you, JU Forum people-

There are a lot of different landscaping/grass cutting services offered in the JU Classifieds. Has anybody ever used one of these people? I'd like to know which is a good service to use.

I got some mid-sized trees and tall bushes out in front of my off-base house that need to be pruned, but I don't want to buy the long-handled pruners, etc. or go thru the trouble of climbing up on a ladder and all that to do it myself. Wondering if you guys could favorably (or unfavorably) recommend any of these services.

If not, I guess I'll go with one of the guys who spent the most money on an ad. :)

If you have lived here a while you know that stuff grows back really fast, so unless you want to keep paying people to come, it's practical to buy a few tools so you can do it yourself. A long-handled pruner costs about $50 and a good hand pruning saw costs $20. The prunings gets hauled away for free.

And hiring a person to do it is ichi mon yen once a year, (max) and requires no climbing of ladders, sweating of brow, or stickers up ass.

Hey Otis...if you are SOFA status, and paying big rent money (OHA) then your housing office should do this for you.
