What a stupid bitch! What did she think would happen?
I had a dream I went on a massacre the other night after I watched The City of God - great flick!

I am awful curious how they caught her.
Most of those hi-tech methods you read about are difficult and rare. Most likely she was using her real name, posted a lot of personal information previously, was personally known to other members, or signed up for the board with all the pertinent info, and the board coughed it up on demand to the coppers.
All that and more paints a road sign pointing straight to "Dumb City".

17??? Hmmm, probably a school girl. What she needs is a meaningful night out with a GI! Where's Hadnot?
All fun aside... Isn't it funny how the law works? While reading this article they refer to the "suspect" in the Akihabara stabbing spree. Hopefully, it isn't to hard to prove him guilty!!!

didnt say she wrote this from an internet cafe, she may have done it from home and tracking from that point is easy

And you know because?
If they have an IP address to go off of, they can narrow it down to maybe a 50 mile radius or less. If the IP address never changes then I imagine the local service providers can tell you, IF they work at it, which of their clients is using it. And that is IF the provider is cooperating, which is one of the things I want to know.
But tracking? I think you have been watching too many movies. There are far too many unsolved net crimes for me to think that everybody is so net savvy they can avoid this "easy" tracking, or that it is easy at all.
Please dont throw empty conjecture at me. There are specific reasons this young woman was caught. I want to know them.

OK locate your provider and get a name or address hows that for tracking, If you want to know try it then ask her smartass.

I am planning on going on a rampage in the Hamby Town liquor store that will go down in history. All of the grape chu-hi inside is at risk. But not the lemon. I hate lemon chu-hi.
**Note to Big-Brother: Please don't arrest me! I intend to pay for all chu-hi's consumed during my rampage. Thank you**

eelecurb: That vid is "no longer available". What did we miss? Any clue as to what happened to it?
Edit: Nevermind, I opened it separately in a new window. No prob.
Not fair tho. It was an analogy. So, I did not even find it humourous in the least.
And it was a good analogy at that. This young lady did not dump her message on the net. She dumped it on a server. That server is well connected to the net. That does not mean it IS the net. If all the wires (tubes) were pulled off that server, one would no longer be able to see using the net. But the message would still be there, on the server.

A 14 year old boy was arrested over here yesterday, same thing, and got caught quickly.
He said that it was just a joke, but I'm willing to bet that once his parents got him home, he's no longer laughing.

Its not that simple. In fact, its less a matter of smarts and more a matter of dedication. If you want to post anonymously and untrackably, it takes a lot of effort, not just brains. These people are too lazy to hide to their identity.

I am glad that guns are not easily accessible here. I think that she wanted to get caught. One of those people who wanted the attention. Well, she is getting it now.
