Are you an organ donor? If so, how do you have it designated for doctors to quickly know so that the harvesting can begin quite quickly?

I used to be an organ donor when I lived in the U.S., and I think I became one because it was so easy to do. All I had to do was declare it when I got my car license renewed and they had put a heart sticker under the lamination.

Would you be ok if all your organs were used, or have you just specified certain ones?

If you are not an organ donor, or are against becoming one, please share with us your reasons why.

I actually WAS one, but then I changed it. After a friend died and the hospital staff was very unprofessional about getting the organs.
They don't give the family any closure time as they want the organs ASAP.

It is okay if my family wants to harvest me out to possibly help others but I am not going to make that decision FOR them....I'm not gonna be there dealing with the aftermath, so it makes no difference to me.

Plain and simple why wouldnt you want to be one. You could save someone's life after your death or make their quality of life better...you know if they ever get eye transplants going. LOL

I agree! I am a donor, and my 11yr old daughter just signed up recently to be a organ and tissue donor.
