Doggie kisses

My husband and I bicker about this a good bit. I find the act of letting a dog or any animal lick your lips/mouth revolting, so much so that it makes me shudder. What do you think; do you let your pet give you kisses or do you prefer to give attention in a different manner?

:barf: Doggie kisses on the mouth or face give me the heebs. I don't even like giving kisses to the piglet on the mouth, because it's a) weird and b) gross due to all that spitup drool.

It really doesn't bother me but then again, I don't let my dog french kiss me or "wash" my face. I also brush my dogs teeth but I guess that doesn't dismiss the butt licking. ::: sigh :::

I let my dog lick my face, but only to a certain extent. If he starts to do it too much I push him away. Normally, I'm the one who gives him a kiss.

I don't trip out if she does, but I definitely avoid it if I can because I've already busted her from time to time digging up the cat's poops and eating 'em. Tell me THAT ain't nauseating......I felt like breaking a chair over her head when I saw it.

awwwwwww.. Tippy my brother's dog is a pomerian. she'll jump up and down constantly until you give her a kiss and hug. This dog literally works for kisses and hugs. She accidently frenched me once, I freaked. but you can't say that dog loves me to pieces because every time I come over, she wants to play or sit on my lap and hang out like buddies. And she always greets me.
Always the queen of the hill, she rules the roost. But you can't help but love her because she's so damned cute. you talk to her, her ears and eyes just perk up, it's funny too. She's a got a personality and a half. hyper but a fun dog. she cracks me up. she prances and dances. She's definitely a family member! she's a little petite little fur ball.

i let my doggie kiss me, even on the face, but i dont like kisses on the lips, or mouth, i dont find it repulsive and if she accidentally kisses my mouth zone i dont freak out, but its still gross

Face and mouth licking is only a left over instinct. It's a submissive action that pups do to their mother, in order to encourage her to regurgitate food.

I'll be dammed if I'm going to puke for any of my dogs.:eek:

I don't mind if a dog licks me on the cheek/face, but definitely not on the mouth. If it's an accident, fine. I'll wipe my face with my probably equally dirty shirt. :p But I'll push it away.

The ONLY time my dog licks me in the face is if I tap my cheek and tell her "kiss" She will lick it once and go about her business. Shes pretty well trained. She has a foot fetish sometimes tho. Strange dog, but sweet LOL. I cant stand for my feet to be licked.....it tickles.

I don't mind puppy kisses, unless its Jolly Roger's dog, because after his dog licked me on the chin, he felt the need to inform me that his dog is an avid butt-licker....

I certainly don't like when dogs with a lot of slobber try and give kisses! However it is true that dogs have cleaner mouths than humans...that is why when they get wounded they lick the wound and it actually heals faster. But i must say that my husky back home can give me kisses any day...her breath doesn't stink!

It's the sheer amount of slobber that can come off their tongues. O.O

It even grosses me out if my husband licks me with too much spittle. :P And he's started making a game of it. >.<

I'm sure my cat's mouths are disgusting...but I let them lick my face :)
