What are things you eat that you think are yummy that others look at you strange when the see or hear about it?

A couple I can think of right off that get me strange looks are:

Peanut butter and pickle sandwiches

Cold pizza

Peanut butter on waffles

Have a friend that eats ketchup on almost everything- pizza, tacos, mashed potatoes, cold sandwiches, that seems kinda strange to me.

Hmmm, I do eat cold pizza from time to time. Right off the bat, I cannot think of anything I eat that others find weird or unusual.

Actually now that I think about it, while serving over in Iraq I did eat some ribs that where from unknown origins. They wanted to do a special dinner for everyone, and as we were eating I noticed the bone was square. Now what animal has square rib bones?

Well, let's see. I love octopus and cucumber salad, so that always earns me some strange looks.

Dried squid, sea grapes, kimchi.......

Also, when I heat up my Kinchan Noodles and dig into them with my chop sticks will draw some attention. It seems that there are a lot of people in this world who have not been able to master the use of these simple dining utensils.

As far as cold pizza goes, if God did not want you to eat cold pizza, he never would have invented it. :D

I can see the octopus & cucumber gettin ya some strange looks!! LoL

I think it is terrible that when you go to a Chinese restaurant here you actually have to ASK for chopsticks. Freaking ridiculous!!

I like mustard with my soft pretzels (some times regular ones too), get looked at odd for that one.

I actually LIKE my leftover pizza cold. But some out there think it is an oddity NOT to heat it up.

I prefer my pizza with extra sauce too. MMMM BEST part of the pizza! :D

Cold pizza is awesome!

I usually don't eat things that most people think are weird. I know I've had it happen before but I can't remember what it was.

Word! Even better with a cold lager!

I can eat anything. The only thing I have ever tried that I did not like was natto. The taste is wrong, the texture is wrong...usually served as part of a breakfast of wild goat soup, rice and a hardboiled egg on the smaller islands within the Okinawa rhetto.

TP gives me weird looks when I eat steak. Does that count? :P

I don't know. I don't really eat weird food I don't think. I loooooooove pickles though. I'll even drink the pickle juice after I finish all the pickles if my wife isn't looking. I know, I know, NOT healthy, but mmmmmmmmmmmm yummy.

I love cookie dough too, but who doesn't?

Pickle juice drinking is indeed a little odd. *smile* I mean the fact you said you did it when your wife wasn't looking should have given that one away.

:)

BTW, Pickles and cheddar cheese are good together

I gotta agree! I cannot handle my cereal soggy. I eat it pretty fast to avoid it going soggy. Drives me crazy, I even make an extra effort to make sure other things are done before I eat, so I don't get interrupted and it go soggy.

I would agree with those people as well! Soggy cereal is pretty gross to me.

It's probably not that weird but I like to let my ice cream get a little melted and then stir it until it is soft serve consistency.

Cold pizza is my weakness. I also douse my slices in extra sauce =)

Hm, I hardly ever heat up my Chef Boyardee when I eat it, either.

I like fries and honey mustard, but catsup is okay, too.

Syrup and eggs is also another one that people seem to think is disgusting.

Ooh, and I love onions. I can eat them by themselves. Same with tomatoes, and with lemons, also.

Oh, and here's one that no one will agree with me one: diced tomatoes on your baked potato. I used to have that like every day at lunch back in 10th grade, haha.

Same here! I pour my milk first, then put it away, make sure I have a spoon handy, and pour the cereal in last so that it doesn't have as much time to get soggy. If only they made a version of Grape Nuts that doesn't taste like kitty litter....

My 3yr old daughter does the same thing with ketchup and soy sauce, she has to have dip on or with everything she eats. We had to start bringing ketchup packets with us, cuz she won't eat anything w/o dip! Yesterday we ate at Joyfull, she put ketchup in her soup, she had 3 cups of soup w/ketchup. She licks ketchp or any kind of dip from the plate. I have to hide the ketchup in house or it will be empty!

Last night my 3 girls wanted to eat at CoCo's for curry. My 3 yrs old got the kids hamburger curry she put her ketchup on top of the curry and also wanted both salad dressing on top of it! Looking at it made me sick and lose appetite! People around us looking at us. Here she kept saying how yummy it was, she finished her plate and wanted more!! I gave her my curry she put the same stuff on, but I had to ask for more ketchup. Here the Japanese guy watched her put the salad dressing on the curry, he was saying NO NO, she put the ketchup on. The Japanese people next to us where telling him everything in Japanese. She ate the whole thing, kept saying how yummy and delicious it was..

I remember doing that as well. A little of everything they had! Though I don't know that they had quite the variety of sodas back then as they do now. The Burger Kings here now have a drink mix menu by the soda fountains. Kinda cool except they normally have terrible fountain drinks anyways so it's hard to tell if their mixes are any good.
