We're looking at buying another car that has better gas mileage and less expensive maintenance, like JCI and Road Tax, for me. We looked at a 99 Nissan Cube. What do y'all know about that kind of car? Can you recommend other similar cars for us to consider? Feel free to post pictures of the car you recommend. I want something along the lines of an MPV, but safe. Thanks.

I guess you are not talking about the Mazda MPV minivan, which is bigger than the Cube anyway.
My feeling is that most of those people-movers like the Cube are pretty similar, and get about the same mileage, equally reliable etc. You should look at several and choose based on how they suit your family's needs for space and access. We picked one (Mazda Premacy) that has easy (low threshold) rear access because we often pick up a friend who uses a wheelchair. It also has a folding third bench seat for when our teenagers and friends need to be conveyed somewhere. Other than that it is reliable and boring as hell.:crying:
