Either way the guys a dumb ass.

So you have had already declared him guilty of having done something? My, you must have a lot of faith in the police!

I read the article and I see nothing in there to link the guy with the accusation AT ALL, except the fact he was arrested.

The article is 1/2 dredging up cases that are unrelated save for a soldier being "involved".

The other 1/2 is so thin I am thinking it quite possible that the general description of white guy sent the cops patrolling not long after the incident and guess who they see walking the streets. Not saying its what happened, but heck, anything is possible given the meager details of that short article split in half.

When I caught that sick fvck peeking in my windows and gave him a beat down, the cops said he didn't break any laws so they were going to let him go and talked about arresting me!

How do you expect people to act with this mentality?

Americans should no better though, they sure as hell can't do it in the states without getting arrested or shot for that matter. They all come to Asia and becomes gods gift to the little yellow women, so they think!

So true, Muku. We went to the Credit Union a few few weeks ago and, we saw a fat retiree (perhaps contractor) with a young Phillipina on his arm, and they were walking towards the BX. His age, just guessing, late 40's. She appeared to be in her mid-20's. From the way she was dressed, it wasn't too hard to figure out where he found her at.

Kind of have to wonder how long it will take him to realize, that he's only sexy because of his "Bank Account"?

But if it works for him, who am I to argue?

He is a dumb ass for putting himself in this situation.

What situation? You are assuming he is guilty.

He may have been arrested at his home. He may have been arrested hours later and blocks away. It may have been another person entirely. Or he may have merely brushed her. Or maybe is a dumbass and did the crime. GD, we got nothing to work with here as far as details are concerned! You cant possibly think that a woman claiming groping plus a man arrested with no details on why HIM equals "he put himself in that situation" no doubt whatsoever? Can you?

I have not even mentioned the possibility that the woman is a complete liar! (Mostly because I doubt it, but still....)

A member of the U.S. military has been arrested for drunkenly groping a woman on the street in northern Japan:

The 22-year-old man, stationed at Misawa Air Base in Aomori prefecture, at the northern tip of Japan’s main island, is alleged to have groped the woman on the street early Friday morning, a police spokesman said.

Kyodo news agency said the victim was 19 and was walking home from a friend’s house alone when attacked.

Police declined to give further details and U.S. Forces were not immediately available for comment on an incident that will cause fresh embarrassment.

According to the Japanese language news report in the video above, the man (identified as ジェームス・リトルジョン) came up behind the woman and grabbed her while she was walking down the street. A witness tells the news cameras that her heard the girl give an extremely loud scream. The man fled the scene, but was captured by police and hour later and arrested. He reeked of alcohol at the time of his arrest.

No it isnt clear in my mind, see? That is the problem. That is why I refuse attempts to label him a dumbass AT THIS TIME. Maybe I will accept it later, but not now.

But wait, did you just admit that nothing was clearly spelt out? You are coming along Muku, you are coming along!

Thanks for the extra details. Now we know 1) his face did not appear on camera, which still begs the question of how they recognized him and 2) he was drunk when arrested, which really narrows it down, eh?

Edit: Oh, I see where you are confused. Here is what I clearly spelt out: The fact that nothing is clearly spelt out!

Darn, probly confused you again. *sigh*

Never said he was guilty, or not guilty for that matter. You added that little part in. But I'm sure she's making it all up because she's really a whore. After all, my friend's mother's cousin's uncle twice removed said he knew she was a whore.

:edited to add:

I also wasn't really delving to deeply into the subject. Thought that was obvious with my gropers comment at the beginning of my post.

It looks like I will have to postpone my trip to Okinawa this year, due to this news story. I don’t want to deal with all the renewed protests and chest beating from the anti-base crowd during my vacation. That’s going to drive Okinawan tourism down by .00003%. Hopefully the story dies by Winter.

I wonder if the charges will be mysteriously dropped. Hmmmm

Unlikely to affect Okininawa. This happened in Aomori, so at best it will receive an honorable mention IF and only IF another round of protests flares up. But I think it will take a truly monumental event to spark serious protests anytime soon. The last round really fell through for a lot of people, and they wont be bothering for a while without crystal clear cause.

btw...I tend to agree that (if guilty) the guy is a dumbass!

Me too. But it all rides on the questions of proof and guilt. I see nothing answering either question anywhere near enough to pick up a banner.

It seems the guy tried to escape the scene in his own car. The car was described by the woman, and the cops found the car an hour later.

Now we have something to link him to the crime. I wont jump on anyone who wants to declare him a dumbass from now. There is enough info there for those of faith.

However, there are still some odd things. For example, she described the car but not the assailant? Maybe the article I read just didnt include that info?

We are still woefully short on details.

How is that not strange? Maybe he came up behind her, groped her, and then hopped into his car? Maybe she just didn't have a clear view of his face but was able to see his car? You never know.

P that is how it was reported on the news here, came up from behind, grabbed her breasts, fondled her ass and then took off running after she started screaming.

Yeah he is a dumb ass and was from the begining of this previous to the "other" comments and will be a dumb ass from now on too. Hopefully though a little jail time will teach him not to be such a dumb ass anymore.
