I'd imagine you'd fish in the ocean:D
Honestly, I have no clue because I have yet to go deep sea fishing. I know there are some people who run charters out of kadena marine. Try going to the kadena marine dive shop and asking them about deep sea fishing charters.

nana24 if you want to go fishing and catch some serious fish than Salt Water Fishing Okinawa is your best bet. The Captain (Billy) is probably one of the best on Island. Good luck and have fun

Funny you would post this question Nan because I was just thinking the same thing. I want to go fishing but need the hookup on where and how. Every time I get near the ocean I am thinking...man it would be fun to fish.

Might be too serious for someone's first time out. Lots of people sit on the beach and see the pretty blue. Few of them can deal with it 40 miles out in the swells. :)

his boat is in Itoman. If you need directions just check out his website, or sometimes he will meet up with his customers at the Legion club (outside Foster) and lead the way down south to the boat.

Alright well we just need some help from some of JU's sea fairing scalliwags.:D
What would be a good number to take out on a trip? What would we need? How much beer can we bring? Costs for chartering the boat etc.... Hell I am seriously down for this but know absolutely nothing on how to get it rolling.

Not on Billy's boat. He keeps the fish from what I understand. Also, to sell, a store runs the risk of running afoul of the fishing association. And to sell, you really need to know what you are doing with the fish. Proper storage for example.
You can sell them to markets. There is no set price though Tony. You negotiate price per kilo at every sell.

On Billy's trips you can either keep the fish (even have them filleted) or sell them back. I'm not sure it's legal for ordinary individuals to sell to markets, so I think that's why he will do it for you.

Yes, it even says it on his website you can keep all the fish you catch.
I think you have to be licensed or something to sell the fish at the market.
If you have friend that works at an Izakaya you can "donate" the fish. :D

Tony I was offered $2,500 on the spot for the Marlin I caught out of white beach:w00t: but we didn't sell it we divided it up and gave it out to the neighbors. It was a great community relations tool:thumbup1:

Tsurigu... is it just a bait and tackle place? They built this next door to our apartment building. That's a lot of bait and tackle for one place. heh.
