Here is my 2 yen.
I say whatever regulations are made should be for ALL services.
If the do libo cards than all branches should have the same cerfew, same regulations, same color and design libo cards.
Just an example but all the services should have the same regs.
Like why the **** can a single E5 in the USAF live out in town but a USMC Sgt is in the Bks.
Or every body in the USA and USAF getting cars but USMC and USN need to NCO's or PO's I think (I'm not certain)
It needs to be the same in my opinion.:army:

Tony not to over simplify things but each branch of service has a specific mission. In order to accomplish that mission there is a certain amount of training and discipline involved. Now I am not saying one is better than the other, but rather each one has to operate a little different in order to get the job done. If the Marines were to live and work like the Air Force there would be allot more dead Marines in combat.

Not really. I'm not trying to attack anybody I'm just saying that rules should be uniform across the board that's all.

I am just curious who's lifestyle we should adapt too? Should it be us unprofessional, lazy AF guys or the anal retentive, violence prone USMC? (these are the common characters that people refer to the above services)
We both get our missions accomplished, so which way is best?

The lifestyles can stay the same.
I just mean if there is a cerfew than it should be all services.
If a certain rank or above can live out in town and it should be all services.
If there is a regulation on what rank or who can have a car than it should be all services.

Tony makes sense. Those privileges don't affect the mission, so why generate unnecessary friction?

Does it bother people that sister services have different privileges?

I agree. Separating the regs on "ALL" United States Armed Forces military is ridiculous. It bothered me when I was in and it bothers me still. I dont know why, but just the simple fact that seeing sister services out in town with there cammies on still drives me nuts. Maybe that's just the M.C. lifestlye that does that to us. None the less, life goes on.

Yes. Not directly since I'm not in anymore but it does.

Right, I bet if you were in the air force you'd be singing a different tune.

Without a doubt. I'm pretty sure that I would be singing a different tune, but that is why I said that life goes on regardless. We , I, the M.C. was just brought up in a different light. I have separated myself, but I still don't understand why anyone would want to were their cammies out in town anyway. Anyhow, different strokes for different folks.

Yeah, I don't understand why people wear cammies off base either. Once I'm not at work, I defiantly don't want to be wearing my work clothes. I just get sick of people ragging on about the AF being able to do stuff that the Marines can't. If you wanted those privileges, then you should have joined the AF and not the marines.
No beef against the Marines though. Hat's off to them for putting up with all the BS they have to put up with.
