The outcry that followed the alleged rape of a Philippine woman in Okinawa? “the latest atrocity committed against our nation’s dignity.”
Well it looks like there was another atrocity committed against the dignity of the Philippines, this one seems a bit worse though. I'd imagine the same group will gather to protest this as well.

Police arrested a 48-year-old man Monday over the death of a woman, a part of whose mutilated body was found in a high-rise condo unit in the Odaiba waterfront area of Tokyo’s Minato Ward last Thursday. Hiroshi Nozaki was held on suspicion of damaging the body of the woman, who the police identified as Honiefaith Ratilia Kamiosawa, 22, a food service worker of Philippines nationality.
Police later found more than 10 body parts of the Filipina in a suitcase in a locker at another building in Minato Ward, based on a note he handed to the ambulance crew. The head of the body has not yet been found.

It's only worthy of international outcry if it was a rotten war mongering American that indignified the Phillipines.

But its an atrocity committed against the dignity of the Philippines. What message does that send to the Filipinas who come here on a work visa? That they're not safe from predatory men? If I were them I'd be afraid to leave the house.
Perhaps they need to create a special panel that prevents crimes committed by predatory men. They obviously need one for US service members so why not have one for all the murderous uncle Toms and rapists out there?

Hell, this probably didn't even make the daily news back in the Phillipines. It's ok if it's Asia on Asia crimes.

It was one of the big stories on the local news last night so I'd imagine the Filipina/Filipino community in Mainland and here have seen it already. I'm sure they're just getting their signs ready.:)

Mutilated body part thought to be of Filipina found in Tokyo condo
Friday 04th April, 01:27 PM JST
TOKYO —
A paper bag containing a mutilated body part suspected of belonging to a Filipino woman was found in a unit of a high-rise condominium building in Tokyo’s Minato Ward on Thursday night, police said Friday.
The unit on the 26th floor of the building in the Odaiba district is shared by a Japanese man and several Filipina women who work in the same location in the Roppongi district, according to police.
One of the women, in her 20s, failed to report to work Thursday night, so another woman, 20, returned home at around 7:30 p.m. and encountered the man carrying a mutilated body with him, police said. The 20-year-old woman reported to a nearby police box at around 9:55 p.m., police said.
Police said they suspect the mutilated parts belong to the woman in her 20s and are looking for the man, who is in his 40s, who later disappeared after the 20-year-old woman returned from the police box.
The woman in her 20s was sleeping when the other women left the condo at around 8 a.m. Thursday, according to police.
Police officers found in the bag a square chunk measuring around 30 centimeters each side believed to be a human waist apparently severed by a knife. Blood-stained futon bedding was found in the kitchen of the unit that also has three rooms and a living room, they said.
A male employee at the same workplace as the women said, ‘‘She never failed to call whenever she takes a day off, but she didn’t on April 3.’’

First thing first... What a twisted MoFo! WTHF?! Ohmyeffingawd!
Secondly, I expect those gungho protestors to start protesting the Japanese embassy in the PI or the PI embassy in Japan now. Afterall, they raised such a fuss previously when the Americans were accused of alleged rapes. Then again, it's very likely that the Japanese government will simply say, you don't like it here, go home.
Lastly, it's taking everything nice in me not to say anything about this:

Well it looks like the case Doug is talking about here isnt the only one, what about this one too.
Filipina, son slain in Japan to be buried in Capiz Saturday (http://globalnation.inquirer.net/news/breakingnews/view_article.php?article_id=128394)
ROXAS CITY -- The remains of Chrisanta Lopez-Nagano and her seven-month-old son Naomasa who were murdered in Japan by her Japanese husband will be laid to rest Saturday in Mambusao, Capiz, her brother has said.

But in the chance of getting a decent income by comparison to living and working in the squalor of some places in the PI it is easy to understand why many take the risks.

Kind of what I was poking at.:D This is one sick crime. Murder and rape are heinous in their own right but this takes it to another level. What's more disturbing is the thought that crimes only matter and are only worthy of a reprisal when they are committed by a certain race, group or nation. Crimes such as murder and rape are colorless and know no boundaries. The groups that attest such heinous acts should be just as determined to eradicate criminal activity no matter who commits it. This, in my opinion, is just as worthy of a demonstration by woman's rights groups or any of the others who have been out protesting the previous rapes, murders and robberies.

It is very obvious Doug that the women's group here at least is only in it for their own adgenda, and cares not a whit for the feelings of the injured women the purport to support.
Cases like this one prove that in the end, it is "only" about politics and not about people at all.

Your kidding right? This can't be our kind hearted, family oriented hosts that did something like this. It surely must have been a GI behind it all!
He'll probably say "I'm sorry" and send a benjamin or two to her family in the PI and it'll be a done deal...

It's America's fault because the Japanese man who did this in his plush Tokyo condo had watched Silence of the Lambs the evening before.

That's a pretty ignorant statement there guy. The Japanese don't generally tend to like the presence of the filipinas that come here because they have a reputation for causing trouble. To lump them all together as "Asians" and to suggest that an Asia-on-Asia crime more acceptable would be very stupid. Unlike the states, Asians do not find refuge in that generic "Asian" classification here within Asia. For the most part, not many of the Asian countries see eye-to-eye hence the fact that we are here right now. I am not ignoring the fact that "gaijin" (outsiders) make the news more than the locals. We all know that is true, but remember this: Filipino's, Chinese, Koreans, Thais and any many other Asian races are considered gaikokujin just like you and me! Are you even aware that India is part of Asia as well? Perhaps I don't watch the Japanese news enough, but I haven't seen an individual of Indian decent get away with murder here because he was "Asian".
For future reference, know your facts before you present your ideas and maybe people can learn from your knowlege. All you are doing here is attempting to spread your ignorance and the sad thing is it seems to be working for the open eared...
