I always get around 5 or 6 hours of sleep. If I sleep more then seven, then I'm still tired once I get up.

I wish I could sleep 8 hours and actually make it count..... 6 hours if I am lucky

I voted for 4.....which is the absolute minimum I need, but I actually get around 5 (but that number wasn't up there). In bed around 9:45~10:15, alarm goes off @ 3AM, but I'll roll outta bed @ 3:25.

I sleep between 4 and 5 hours a day..if I sleep 7-8 hours I feel like crap all day.

I can function on less than 6 hours but prefer to get at least that. I've suffered from insomnia that comes and goes and there has been days that I would go without sleep. (3 1/2 days in a row was my max) I can handle 24-30 hrs without sleep but I can't guarantee anything I say or do is intelligible past that.

I'm about the same as P_chan. I'll oftentimes wake up too early, feeling fantastic, and then roll over for another hour of sleep and wake up dragging ass. I should just set my alarm an hour earlier, but I love sleep too much.

It depends. I can go a few days with out sleep if i am on a bender. Or just catch a cat nap in the tub. But normally 5-6 hours is OK. Sometimes i crash for like 16 hours though.

I think about 6 maybe less. Sometimes I have a hard time going to sleep most nights, and sometimes never really do, or sort of just "leapfrog" from hr to hr till its time to get out of the bed. I do feel like crap most days, but just keep going cause I dont really have a choice.

I live right next door to a freakin' taxi wash.... I swear to god they were going alllllll night last night. I probably got about three hours of actual sleep. I actually had my wife call the cops on them as they were making a huge noise from 2am to 6am. They do it every night, but apparently the beer usually helps me sleep through it. I wasn't drinking last night (for a change).

If I set no alarm, I wake up at the 12 hour mark almost every time. On average, 6-7 hours. Thanks mostly to JU forums.

That sounds about right to me. 10 to 12 hour mark.

I have a wife and baby girl who are the ultimate alarm clock.

When I used to binge drink, I'd sleep nearly a full day. Almost lost my arm one day from cutting off the circulation for so long. :scared:

No more drinking.

I average 2 - 4hrs a night. By the time I get my kids to bed and asleep. I will start to clean house, have a beer or two, do the fancy finger's...after 8 times or so, then I am very tired and go to bed, usually after 0300 and wake up at 0600 to get kids ready for school.

It is nice to crash every once in a while. If I'm super tired, and I've got some extra days off. I might sleep for 10 hours, but that's the most.

I usually get 6 or less a night, but in all truth I need 8 to 10. I used to be an insomniac when I was younger, I'm not any longer, but it's like my body is still wanting to make up for lost time. Strange though, I get by on 3 to 4 down range with no problem. I get groggy if I get over 12 though, not worth a shit for days from too much sleep.

I use to suffer from a condition called sleep paralysis and there would be nights when if I got 3 hours of sleep I was lucky. It occasionally comes back but it is more managable now.

I now sometimes get more sleep than I really want to take like when I get up at 5:40 to get my girl ready for school and then crawl back into bed for another three hours. I thought I remedied that by getting a babysitting job..but that hasent made me more productive...just unhappy to be worn out in such a way.

I've got a labtop, and it has a wireless lan card. But it makes my lap hot if i sit there with it. It's also a pain in the ass to disconnect from everything, which is bad if you have to "download" in a hurry.

Besdies, my wife already thinks I'm an otaku for playing my DS while I download. Taking the computer in there would just be overboard!

To actually function as a nice person, I need 8 - 10 hours of sleep. To simply function as a person, 6 hours is enough... just be sure I'm well fed. :D

I'm the same way guyjin. I get sweaty because of the humidity and can't fall asleep. But my wife usually opens the window and I just use a down comforter. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't.

Sleep duration varies pretty wildly for me. I generally refuse to sleep when I'm not actually sleepy so it can result in about 2 to 3 hours of deviation around the 6 hour mark on weekdays. On the weekends, 8 to 15 hours is usual. About three weeks ago, I got 18 hours of sleep.

At least 8 hours. But like 12 is better....and 14...and...well I could probably sleep, get up to eat/relieve myself, and go back to bed indefinately-unless I have something interesting planned or work.

Besdies, my wife already thinks I'm an otaku for playing my DS while I download. Taking the computer in there would just be overboard!

My DS goes with me everywhere. As did the laptop before it crapped out. I don't consider myself anywhere near otaku.

Hubbles won't let me take laptop into bubblebath. Something about electric shock.

I survive with six hours, but 8,9, or even 10 hours, would be nice on occasion.

Can't seem to train some of our local family not to call before 07:00. And some calls from the states come in earlier than I like.:cursing::crying:

I usually get around 4 on weekdays and maybe 5 or 6 on weekends. I would love to get at least 6 a day to function better but can't. I have horrible problems falling asleep and when I finally do I wake up every 30 min to an hr and takes forever to fall back asleep. Been that way for about 10 yrs. Not sure if I have Insomnia or Sleep Apnea or both...:scratchchin:
