If there's one thing I hate about internet work, it's this: I'm just AMAZED at some of the nutjobs I come into contact with. I swear to god I just want to tell some of these people to get the hell out of my gene pool. :mad:
I just wasted 2 days on a guy who took all of my helpful replies negatively. EVERY SINGLE ONE. And then threatened to sue JU because I told him I was beginning to think he had a few screws loose for how he was acting to me. What, you're going to sue because I hurt your feelings? I didn't call you a headcase, I said I'm starting to suspect you are one.
And you'd be amazed by how many people said that they're going to get me fired and then the boss just laughed because they had a few screws loose.

I just can't believe some of the people who use this website. It's staggering!

I should have just ignored this guy from his first email.
Every single email was written with text this big. You can tell a lot about people by their font selection and size... and their inability to turn off all-caps when sending an email. This guy, thank god, at least didn't have the all-caps super ultra wall o' text problem.
Someday I'm going to put together a book with all the retarded emails I've received over the years.

Although lawsuits are increasing, Japan is one of the least litigious places on earth.

dk, I think I've come in contact with you before over one to articles that was written about an accident that happened on the expressway a few months ago and how they had mainly focused on the Marines reaction to the whole situation.
I was upset, I admit, however I wish people would understand just because their opinion is shot out into cyberspace doesn't mean that everyone respects it or agrees with it. People should try to realize that risk of putting yourself out there like that, but people like that just shouldn't breed. haha.
It's no problem roxy. I understand that people get emotional from time to time, and I myself have blown a gasket on a few occasions. I remember our correspondence and it really wasn't that bad. :)
Your emails had NOTHING on this guy lol.

lol. I tried to be polite, only because I wasn't too sure who was responsible for the article but I was glad to get some imput on the issue.

I was just trying to help this guy yesterday lol. I'd say something like "Do you not have a company credit card that you can use to pay for your ad? I don't really understand what the problem is.". A simple, honest question. I asked it because he wanted to pay for his ad via bank transfer yet he mentioned that they do have a credit card and we MAINLY do our online business via credit card transaction.
To which he responds something like "Do not presume that we are not able to use a credit card! Do not say that we have a problem!"
I think this is the first person I've completely refused to do business with even with paying ads. I tend to allow paying customers to give me a little abuse from time to time, but this was just too much. If he was trying to place a free ad, he would have been blacklisted by the third email.
Boss just wrote me saying that he supported my decision to not do business with the guy. I'm glad I have a good boss. :)

You're lucky that you have the option to not do business with a person (or company) who is like that. In retail, we have little option. As an AAFES concessionaire, we have NO option. We have to smile and take the screaming, abusive people with a smile and bend to their demands. I don't know how many times people have come in ranting about something and try to impress upon me that they know the owner and will go straight to her, etc. It takes a lot of restraint for me to not pick up the phone and call my mom, then hand the phone to them. Gah, ranting... gomen.

I think people expect me to not have a choice and to just take whatever they dish out. I do have a choice, but in most cases I try my best to diffuse the situation. I might have kept trying if this guy showed an ounce of reading comprehension, but he was just a lost cause.

Thank you for your honesty DP. I am pretty much stark, raving mad. When I am bored, I sharpen all of the cutlery.
I tend to find intelligence in everyone to some degree though, and that is a pretty bold statement for a pessimest to make- because generally, people piss me off. :)

The internet just gives stupid people a means to annoy me. Just go onto just about any forum and you will see little kids acting like little stupid racist.
Reminds me of when I used to play halo 2 online. You would not believe what some of those kids said.
I know what you mean. The video game forum I sometimes go to gets really, really, REALLY annoying sometimes.
It's funny how amazingly serious some people take video games too and how some kids will go as far as to base their social standing on things that have been accomplished in a video game.
