Here is some food for thought?
14 year old girl has consentual sex with her 18 year old boyfriend. Parents get mad and press charges. Now he is branded a sex offender for life. This is not a child molester, he's not a rapist. He is a high school student who had sex with another high school student.

But the law says that 14 is too young to give consent and they may be right but now this brings me to my next question.

14 year old has sex with someone 18 they are a victim that did'nt know any better and the 18 year old gets burned.
Yet a 14 year old shoots and kills someone and that 14 year old "knows" exactly what they are doing and gets charged as an adult.
I smell hyposcrasy and inconsistancy.




So what do you guys think?

Kombu Kid put this subject in a very true and real perspective.
Ahhhh, I see. But when a young boy gets busted doing a drive-by or some other violent act.......let's try him as an adult and put him away for life. Meanwhile, a girl that age wants to turn tricks and probably enjoy all the material things that it buys......she's completely innocent. ...although if she was busted getting naked with her boyfriend who was the same age as her.......no biggie. What would they tell her?......"you shouldn't do that".......knowing full well she still will, and probably get free condoms to do so.

I knew of someone who was out drinking and having a good time with friends....couldn't hold it...so decided to relieve himself on the sidewalk...Police spotted him charged him with indecent exposure....and now has to register with the police dept.
